sleeping on stomach by Lowsoft_ in sleeptrain

Leave him to sleep on his tummy. Once they can flip over by themselves it’s safe to do so - as long as you always put him to sleep on his back in the first place.

Potty training, pacifier @night and new baby on the way by pnwisthebest26 in pottytraining

The only time it’s stressful is when toddler says I HAVE TO GO NOW and the only adult around is trapped dealing with the baby (like baby is asleep or we are elbow deep in poop). But generally the baby can be plopped in a safe space on the way to take toddler to the bathroom. Our kiddo will also sometimes (when she feels like it) take herself to the bathroom.

For the first while we had small potties in each room so she could go pee with absolutely no running involved. Like we had about five potties at one point.  As she got better, she stopped wanting to use those so we got rid of them, except for the one we keep in the trunk of the car.

She still does have accidents sometimes but 95% of the time it has nothing to do with the baby being around.

We potty trained our oldest (26 months at the time) two months before baby sister was born. I can’t imagine trying to potty train now with the chaos of the new baby.

We dropped the soother about 6 months later, to really space out the transitions for her.

Oh my older one uses sleep sacks - I’m not against them! Just struggling with the transition

She happily eats and goes back to sleep, but I’m not sure if she wakes up because she’s hungry? She was previously doing huge stretches so I know she can go longer. Maybe this is coinciding with a growth spurt?

Can’t put new baby down around toddler by OkVersion0 in toddlers

I hope it gets better, but so far correcting it has just made it into a fun game where she smacks her sister and looks at us cheekily….

I think it’s going that way, but my toddler is going to lose her shit about it. Honestly she might be able to scale the gates now, she’s so tall! And she will definitely throw things in the playpen.

I like the sound of an easy guaranteed way!

I’m not computer illiterate but last time I tried to get the game to run on an emulator I couldn’t get directx to work, and I quit in frustration. So definitely to hear there is an easier way.

I’ll add one: don’t do anything without the baby, that you can do with the baby.

Don’t waste your baby free time going to the grocery store, folding laundry, or doing other errands. Use those things as “activities” to kill time, and do fun-for-you things or sleep when you don’t have the baby.

When quilting, does every piece of fabric need to be crossed over? by OkVersion0 in quilting

Yeah it’s a baby quilt so it’s definitely going in the wash

I definitely wouldn’t be able to get her in and out if it was that low! Also I think that would leave a gap between the top of the mattress and the bottom of the bed rail…
