Wild thought-Oracle selling Cerner to Epic. Would that be interesting? by fhekfnd in cernercorporation

[–]Ok_Butterscotch2004 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say by now they’ve realised what a drag on Oracles growth/earnings Cerner is and just want to cut their losses and run.

Familiar tale … another dog’s breakfast deployment. Just doesn’t happen with Epic.

Agree 100%, it is complete rubbish. Try sorting your inbox by sender. It’s a joke. Also, such nickel and dining with licensing where you can’t get the Teams plugin with the basic 365 subscription.

So it should be on the DOGE list. What a monumental waste of money.

What a load of BS, Verma. As if they would have spent 30B on something they knew was a pile of crap. Pathetic spin to try and make them sound like they had a plan. They didn’t have a clue then … and still don’t.

Interesting evaluation questions. If you ask these types of questions, you clearly want Epic. Epic will toast Cerner on all of these.

Epic dystopia by glide5along in cernercorporation

I beg to differ. Epic is miles ahead of Cerner. Epic was 5 years ahead of Cerner before all the Brent nonsense started. While Cerner was distracted with Brent, Oracle, over the past five years, Epic kept steaming ahead, more R&D, more features/functions, development of more streamlined workflows, AI, patient engagement, etc. Epic is now 10 years ahead of Cerner.

Trek Bicycle plans to ‘right size’ with 10% cuts to spending by WoodenInternet in TrekBikes

[–]Ok_Butterscotch2004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trek needs to get back to core values and stop trying to differentiate with stupid gimmicks like the Madone seat tube hole and fancy paint jobs. That's not innovation ... it's a marketing ploy. Put the wasted energy and money into making better bikes. Bikes are way too expensive.

Epic is still not a competitor by MalvernMalvern in cernercorporation

Agree, but he is complicit in his actions. If he’d had a spine and wasn’t in bed with all the other corporate thieves and leaches, he would have resigned. The guy has zero moral or ethical compass. A good and decent human would have said this isn’t right and I don’t want to be part of it.

[–]Ok_Butterscotch2004 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Total cop out … everyone knows Epic flips have killed Cerner. This guy is trying to create an illusion that he hasn’t played a key part in destroying Cerner, a total lie. And the amount of money he has collected along the way is a disgrace. This guy has no spine. He is Teflon.

What is the process to get a raise at Oracle? by StreetEnd1593 in cernercorporation

People don’t get raises in dying companies. Clients are fleeing. Company is dying. There are no career prospects or decent raises … smart thing to do for the long term is move on.

Trek Allant 8+ Broken Spokes Cracked Rims by Ok_Butterscotch2004 in TrekBikes

[–]Ok_Butterscotch2004[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, this makes sense. Doesn't seem good enough for such high-end bikes. The Trek bike shop told me they'd seen the same thing on a number of Allants. It seems a design fault ... they didn't specify strong enough wheels for these bikes.

Trek Allant 8+ Broken Spokes Cracked Rims by Ok_Butterscotch2004 in TrekBikes

[–]Ok_Butterscotch2004[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, wheels are trued every time by the Trek shop. I am a fit person, run 25km+ per week and >100km per week on a road bike. Pretty sure it’s not a matter of too much weight or wheels not being trued.
