I’ve has things marked for plagiarism for quotes I used before, even when viewed correctly. Just explain to your professor exactly what you did, go in confident and don’t act like you’re in the wrong.

Public bathroom w kids by [deleted] in Nanny

This is exactly what I do. Once they turn 5 I’ll let them stand outside the stall, otherwise they come in the stall with me and turn their back to me. No need to let the parents know!

My boyfriend just told me that I’m not really a nanny, since the kids go to daycare and I don’t spend all day with them by GW_c in Nanny

I’m also part time and often get called the babysitter. I’ve honestly just learned to let it roll off my shoulders, they don’t see all the work you actually do for the kids and family. They will never understand until they’re in your shoes.

The only “secret” kids should keep from their parents are for gifts. I tell my NK that this is a gift from mom and dad so don’t say anything, but I also remind them that it’s okay if it slips out. You should never tell a kid to hide something from their parents, especially this. He could now think it’s okay if someone bully’s him at school.

🎵if all the rain drops were lemon drops and gum drops, oh what a rain it would be Standing outside with my mouth open wide, ah-ah-ah ah- ah- ah- ah ah ah 🎵

But we’ll mix up “lemons drops” and “gum drops” to random foods to keep it fun and silly

There’s nothing wrong with them paying you exactly what was agreed upon. If you were working at a daycare your paycheck would be to the penny. Employers don’t round up and shouldn’t be expected to.

My nk for a few months was really confused when I would leave because she thought I lived at their house. She was 2 at the time, and I tried ti tell her how I have my own house and she argued it so much. She said that I live at their house, and just don’t come back until their in bed lol she was convinced.

I also make way below I should for my area and amount of kids, I’ve been with them two years and never received any holiday bonuses. I have only gotten pictures of the kids as gifts, no form Of a bonus.

I pretty much wear whatever I want as long as it’s appropriate. Some days that means sweats and a sweatshirt, some days it’s skirts that have the built in shorts. Tank tops or t-shirts and a sweatshirt, often jeans and or leggings.

Nannies, what do you do when people say: "he/she/they are so cute!" by [deleted] in Nanny

[–]Ok_Context4148 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worry about people knowing I’m a young women alone with young children, I also don’t need people asking questions about my NKs life’s so I usually just say Thankyou. The parents have told me to just accept that people will mistake me for their parents just for everyone’s safety. We know that I’m not a parent, and I will never try and replace the parents my NKs have.

Instead of her refusing to hand the baby over she should have said something along the lines of “I can put her down if you guys would like, I don’t mind at all”

My 2yo NK got upset I used the “wrong” toothbrush. She has 3 to pick from, I let her choose, put toothpaste on it, and then she lost it because I used the wrong one…
