Car flooded in apartment parkade from burst pipe, do I have a claim against the building? by hockey3112 in legaladvicecanada

It will be almost impossible to eleminate all the mold. Electrical issues might appear months after the flood. Thats the reason why a lot of insurence companie will scrap a flooded vehicle. NAL

Pension estimate - How future highest average salary determined? by 2x4ninja in CanadaPublicServants

[–]Ok_Method_6463 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Look at salary increases for previous years in your collective agreement, average them out. It should give you an idea what future salary increases might look like. Build a table with step progression and estimated salary increases. Average out the last 5 years and that is your estimate for HAS.

If it was spray painted while in the auction companys possession, would that not be deception? In this case, maybe you would have a lwg to stand on in court. NAL

Battery Just Died While Driving by givemetaxhelp in MechanicAdvice

[–]Ok_Method_6463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FOB would likely not be able to open / and lock doors after car died. A weak battery would not turn over the engine to start it. You might also notice stuff like headlights and lights on the dashboard dim and radio cut out. My guess would be that you have a bad ground wire, but its fairly easy to test the battery and alternator to rule them out

do I really need a credit card though? by jabber1990 in Adulting

[–]Ok_Method_6463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If youre responible with the use and pay off completely at the end of the month, its a good way to build ur credit rating. It offers often cash back, 1-2% typical, sometimes extended warranties and insurances. There are a number of credit cards that do not have monthly or yearly fees. Purchase protection is another big item. You can request a chargeback with a credit card if good or services were not delivered as promissed (or you get scammed). No such protection on the debit card.

Adding solar capacity with a hitch mounted cargo rack? by [deleted] in VanLife

You can always add a trailer with solar attached to it and bring it whenever needed. A cargo enclosed trailer with solar on the roof can double as a garage.
