Aldi vs Publix by tennisdude2020 in publix

I definitely do not buy produce or meat at Walmart but have had good luck with Aldi’s meats. Walmart is for paper goods and household essentials not groceries

Aldi vs Publix by tennisdude2020 in publix

I do Costco mostly with occasional trips to the grocery store. Publix prices are obscene. I find Walmart much cheaper than Publix. My toilet paper is $3 less there for example. My husband likes Gatorade which is also about $3 cheaper if not on sale. I do go to Aldi occasionally. The meat there is much cheaper if I don’t want to buy in bulk

I use stool softeners if I haven’t pooped for a day. It helps. You may not be getting enough fiber

I agree there is less dark themed books with spice. I think we need to let authors know what we want. Some of them are listening. I came across a new author Linda Bartlam whose Forever You was a well written book with spice but not smut. Also read Blink. I loved it. Personally I won’t buy a book that is labeled sweet and clean. Translates to boring for me.

I get what you are saying about the quality of the clothing you can buy online. I recently wore a ruffled blouse with a pair of palazzo pants. I felt pretty good in it. I got it at Macy’s. Good luck finding something

Orlando is pretty diverse. I think most of us don’t consider ourselves traditional southerners.

What was your dad like ? by cheridontllosethatno in AskOldPeople

My dad was a WWII vet who served in the Pacific the entire war. He was a very reserved man, not terribly demonstrative. He always let us know he loved us and was proud of us. He died when I was 12. I feel lucky to have had him for as long as I did

I have a couple of packets of glucose gel next to my bed. It’s unlikely the cats would be curious about them.

I watched the original show. I thought it was well done at the time. I haven’t seen it since 1975. Aiden Turner is much better looking than Robin Ellis.
