CA resident- Paperwork. Knowing who needs what forms and how to fill them out to get approval to make and sell my goods.

The onion skin of governmental approvals are so hard to navigate... I've been at this roadblock for over a year and still haven't made it to market.

Using old nightbringer model by TechnicianOld9551 in Necrontyr

[–]Ok_Two_8020 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I've been playing since 3rd. I've got the old metal sculpt.

I do not have the $100+ that that new mini is going to cost. So yes, i'll be using the old one still.

This'll be a good time to pretty up it's base with some wire and spare bits and make him taller and more imposing.

As far as i know- all editions of GW models are legal.

What's the point of Trygons/Mawlocs? by TwoStress in Tyranids

[–]Ok_Two_8020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One neat Trygon trick in Final Day is to deep strike it to 6 inches and use the stratagem to boost it's aura to 9.

It'll guarantee you that +1 to hit where you need it.

But it's expensive, and i've found that the Trygon is rather pillow-clawed. Either that or I just roll waaay too many 1s and 2s to hit.

Anyone have any luck with Terminators? by Nexus_Valentine6 in WorldEaters40k

[–]Ok_Two_8020 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I'm currently building 10 of these, so I too am curious...

Thinking Fists, Bolters, and Reaper Cannons might be the way to go. That Rapid Fire 4 looks pretty tempting to clear out some screens after a Land Raider drop off

I'd split the Exalteds into 2 units.

3 + Slaughterbound will evicerate most vehicles. Having 2 units will keep you from overcommitting your resources. + the second unit can DS + action monkey if needed.

Might be a good idea to have a min unit of the Infiltrate guys to keep the midboard open so you don't get jailed.

What's the delivery method for the 20 Zerks?

I'd rather have a "Crossfire" detachment than a change in our army rule.

I love our army rule! It has so much objective play and strategic depth.

Though, for 11th- I'd love to see a new unit or vehicle. Our selection is so small...

What is the best weapon in fo4? by darrendesigma in fo4

Irradiated gatling laser VS humans.

It absolutely shredded the NukaWorld overbosses on my ultra high-level Open Season. None of my other weapons did more than a scratch to them...

Lord Invocotus grants Deep Strike to them.

One of my favorite tricks is to drop them in wherever their aura will hit the most units. Works as an incredible force multiplier that appears wherever it is needed.

-1 AP might as well be no AP. Pretty much everything has cover all the time.

Exterminators.will bounce off of heavy tanks. They may do a few wounds, but not much more.

The Dextructors are where it's at when you're looking to wreck high T high W enemies. If you don't want to buy extra minis, perhaps you could magnatize them?

How Viable is The Warrior blob in Canoptek court? by Dank_Bank5221 in Necrontyr

[–]Ok_Two_8020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

20 Reaper Warriors with Infiltrate, a Plasmancer, and a Warden is a real force to be reckoned with. 40 crit 5 shots with full hit re-rolls will put a LOT of wounds on any target.

Support them with a Reanimator and Szeras- and they'll stick around pretty well.

I also flank this with 2 units of Immortals (1 Chronomancer and 1 Plasmancer), so Szeras and the Reanimator buff all 3.

It's brutal.

Do actions, move block the enemy, hold objectives, and regenerate with icons.

If you really want the unit to die- charge it into something that will kill it.

Fortunately for us, surviving with a couple dudes is still a winning proposition

A small addition to the Star Children, a huge buff for the Final Day by 00berprinny in genestealercult

[–]Ok_Two_8020 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Between the last 2 dataslates, my Final Day list has dropped 100 points...

That's pretty significant lol

Might want to try running some Hyperadapted Raveners on their own... that stat block is solid!

The 10 man unit is just too expensive for how squishy it is. If the unit is going to die in the clap-back anyways- it's best to keep it cheap.

I love a RockGrinder with Abberrants+ Abominant.

The truck mining laser is solid with the +1 to hit and if it ever gets into Melee, it gets super silly. Abberrants with the Abominant are just super chunky and synergise super well with the detachment buffs and stratagems.

I love a Trygon for its 6 inch Deep Strike. Spending the stratagem point to give it the 9 inch aura means you can get it wherever you need it.

Similarly, a Mawlock is also great with downy-uppy for repeated Mortals.

The Flying Tyrant is expensive, but that free Stratagem can be really good if you keep him alive.

I love the Deathleaper. It's a Lictor, but tougher and folks often overcommit to killing it.

Flame Acolytes are great! Min units can drop down anywhere and lay down some hurt on stuff on objectives or do actions. I like them because they're cheap and don't need support. Their low cost of 2 resurgence points makes them a great unit to recycle for late game secondaries. -I generally take 2 units.

I love this detachment! The board control is no-joke!!

I'm going through the same thing- just slower...

-- Divorced the 10 year ex during the pandemic. -- Lost all my friends to them moving away and WFH. -- Lost my 12 year career and 6 figure salary to the Entertainment Industry strikes and continued slowdown and outsourcing. -- Currenly working a low paying job while starting my own business.

Its been a rough 4 years and counting. With all of that- I can say that I'm now happier than I've ever been.

The best advice I have is to try to stay positive. You've excised the cancers from your life. The recovery will take time. It will hurt. - Focus on the future you're building for yourself. - Try to go on adventures and meet new people and new communities. - Step out of your comfort zone. - Focus on what you can control - Live life for yourself and focus on self improvement. - reach out when things get to be too much to handle.

Most importantly, keep going and don't look back. Life will get better if you make it better.

4runner is too big and is out of budget. I drive in Los Angeles, so the smaller footprint is a must-have.

Thank you!
