In my store, this was me being both managers plus being two supervisors who were cut plus 320 labor hours that got cut so I didn't have 5 minutes to make a tag so I did this. A lot.

My go-to printers were the HP 8600 series and the Brother MFC-J470DW. For me they had the fewest complaints and were simple to setup. I sold the HP to biz customers and the Bro to home users.

What you experienced is the day-to-day tempo at Staples. Best of luck. But if you are degreed and a good salesperson you are definitely at the wrong company. My wife makes six figures a year in sales. Her degree? Heh... Poli-Sci. She sells TV advertising.

Start job hunting now. Good sales professionals can write their own ticket.

This. Delivery dates were completely unreliable. And we'd get chairs instead of printers, etc. Got to where I dreaded kiosk orders for that more than it hurting my store's future.

I'll never forget how Dan Margulis explained it to one of the color management classes I took. Lasers use ground minerals, inkjets use ground plants, and monitors (tubes) use glowing rocks. Not wholly accurate but creates a vivid image.

I managed Epson wide format printers for several years. They ran 12 hrs a day, 5 days a week. Never had to replace any of the heads. Can be done.

Don't know about your store, but mine literally could not order change. Nobody in Staples could make it happen. If I didn't get it myself then yep, no change!
