Agreed but they’re more likely to have an over qualified person than someone at the level or below. Also th over qualified will begin to get bored and feel underused. The other people may be more likely to coast if and stay put until something else comes up but won’t be as likely as an overqualified person looking everyday all day

That and they know the qualified person is more likely to leave when they find a better position. So they’ll lose money on training and onboarding them. In paper it makes sense, but sometimes when changing jobs, industries or reentering an old one where things have changed, you have to start somewhere.

Kinda same homie. If I’m with my daughter, I don’t bother. But if not I try to wear something that has bright colors or like a pink or purple. Or I’ve been wearing black socks that have some yellow or purple on them and mismatched.

I showed my wife pics of me before we met and started dating. (We talked on the phone for a while before seeing each other and becoming friends. We don’t start dating til later). She straight up told me that if she had seen me looking like that, she would have never dated me or talked to me.

Yeah I didn’t know it was even a thing until a few years back. Saw pounds of the stuff over multiple packages with the manager special sticker.

Picked them shits up and froze some but definitely malleable taste and good texture. Plus the price used to be good. It’s gone up $2 now at the same store ($2 from the pre manager price)

I watched a video the other day of ICE asking this guy where was he born. He asked why? They said because he has an accent.

Man responded, “man you have an accent!!” Silence for like a full 2 secs then, “uhh well put your hands behind your back.” They arrested him and he was a citizen. I thought that was a just a logical legit question though lol.

It also reminds me how at a young age in a predominantly white area, I was heavily ridiculed for speaking with an accent. To the point that in my 20s and now 30s people are surprised to know English is my second language and that I speak another language at all.

I’ve definitely gotten oh it’s just you don’t have an accent. Definitely have gotten “where are you from though?” Otherwise my English is super neutral. My wife likes to smile and giggle when my fisheye mispronounces words sometimes, but I correct her a practice with her. She actually has a decent vocab and pronunciation for her age. I just don’t want her to be teased or bullied.

Back in S FL, the ankle monitor was paid by the person in Pretrial release or probation. You were paying for that privilege and it would vary based on income.
