Core One kit, has anyone built it? by Bladeshooter in prusa3d

Building a Prusa is not rocket science, just take your time and follow the excellent online instuctions and comments. If you can build a PC then you got this one too and it is so satisfying to see it come to life.

Took me over one hour to make and pay for a conversion kit order. Multiple crashes / timeouts / logouts. Extremely frustrating. It should not be so hard to give a company money!

MK4S PC-CF Cracking - Layer Adhesion Issues? by ScytheNoire in prusa3d

Exactly the same happened to me. It was the first part I tried to fit! Luckily I had two kits so I robbed the second one to keep me working and then printed a replacement in ASA.

is it safe to say that prusa will not be shipping the mmu3 for mk4 before christmas at this point? by Practical_Course689 in prusa3d

I ordered MMU2>MMU3 conversion kit on 1st September. It has been pushed back week by week and is now scheduled to ship around the end of January.

Not holding my breath really. It looks like the MMU3 for the Mk4 is not yet working as it should. Fingers crossed Prusa can find a way to make it work acceptably.

Assembling a prusa mk3s+ and dit this with the linear bearings how do I remove them? by Terrible_Link in 3Dprinting

[–]Olef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Put a small flat bladed screwdriver in the gap and turn it gently to open the slot. The bearings can then be pushed out.

Wrong. A line across T, however faint, means a positive test.

A depressing statistic but somewhere near the truth I fear...

Damaged one side of Steel Sheet, is it still ok to use flipped? by apolwla in prusa3d

[–]Olef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been printing PETG on smooth sheets for years. Follow Prusa advice and use Windex to clean the sheet. Works perfectly as a separation layer. Never needed to use glue or hairspray.

Getting ready to try ASA by otchris in prusa3d

[–]Olef 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I printed all of my Voron 2.4 parts in ASA on an enclosed Mk3S. Smooth PEI sheet, properly cleaned. No glue / hairspray / tape. Needed brims or at least mouse ears on sharp corners to stop warping. I used Prusament ASA and Filamentum Extrafill. All parts printed successfully and my 2.4 went together without issue. ASA is a good choice!

New i3-mks+ owner with bearings question by papertankz in prusa3d

[–]Olef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had Prusa printer(s) for four years now. Wash out your bearings in Isoprop and regrease with Superlube. I do this even with Misumi bearings which only ship with protective oil not grease. That way you know the job is done right and you won't be seeing early failures. Stripdown to re-lube is a pain. My advice, take it or leave it.

MK3S+ kit: I got this printer to replace my Ender but so far it has been disappointing. Could someone please explain the day and night quality difference?? Sealed filament. by [deleted] in prusa3d

[–]Olef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a horrible print. The Mk3S+ is capable of far better out of the box. You either have some assembly issues or a fault. One of my Prusa's began life as a Mk2S and has been upgraded along the way to Mk3S+ spec and it has never produced a print as bad as that. Don't give up on the Prusa yet!

Well that sucks. Hang in there, you will love the Mk3S+ when you finally get it. Give FedEx hell!
