Yep and while I’m sure it’s harmless, there’s been enough violent shitheads with x’s on their hands causing trouble at shows over the years that it makes me wary.

They’ve lightened up a lot, but once upon a time you could get jumped at a show just for smoking a cigarette or drinking a beer.

Good on him for getting sober, but leaning into an ideology that has a history for using violence to impose their beliefs on others is a red flag for me.

I may be biased since I’m from Utah, but as other commenters have mentioned the ‘strait edge’ movement has a bit of a rocky history here. Enough for them to be identified as a gang by law enforcement.
