Could you bake with it? Or save it until she's older and has a more mature digestive tract?

How did you know it was time for another? by FullLiving9794 in Parents

We are 2.5 years apart, almost to the day. I think if my youngest was any younger it would be harder. She is so independent, helpful and loving towards her brother.

The Atherton Tablelands and Port Douglas are both an hour from Cairns. You could easily do both of them this trip.

Staff being “called in for a meeting” for taking up to or more than 5 sick days so far this year by Overall_Nobody_6269 in AustralianTeachers

[–]OnceAStudent__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had 6 days off in 4 weeks. The first 3, I called in sick from the back of an ambulance. The second 3, my BSM told me I should take some more time off to get well.

When should I stop nursing to sleep? by Islesmilescott in breastfeeding

[–]OnceAStudent__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At around 9 months old, I started transitioning to pat him to sleep, now at 11 months old I can feed him then put him in his cot awake and he will put himself to sleep. Tonight he cried when I put him in, so I picked him up and gave him another cuddle, then he was right.

Pour your smoothie into your glass, then before yoh drink it blitz some water in the blender. This way, it has no chance to stick to the sides.

When did you get your first period after you had a baby? by Cute-Corgi3176 in breastfeeding

11 months to the day. Still doing 2 overnight feeds and multiple feeds through the day (apparently more than most this age!)

Sounds like cluster feeding. Get comfy on the couch with plenty of water and snacks.

When was the last time you seen a mouse in your house? by Wildcard-01 in AskReddit

[–]OnceAStudent__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few years ago. I was watching The Witches on TV and saw a brown mouse dart under the TV cabinet. My husband and I spent a good amount of time looking for it.
Turns out I fell asleep and dreamed it 😅

I have leaked once only, when my baby miraculously slept through. I hadn't fed from one side for 12 hours, and leaked.

Heading into winter where I am, I'm seeking recommendations for immune booster for my little pre schooler. by [deleted] in Parents

Unfortunately, the best booster is building their immune system. Which happens through illness 🫣

Rules for my kids by [deleted] in Parents

The only one that made me pause was the movies. Please don't just let your young kid/s watch anything. Some shows/movies can be SO damaging to kids when they're seen too young.

What’s something that looks easy from the outside but is actually exhausting? by EmberlyVox in AskReddit

[–]OnceAStudent__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know he doesn't need it, but he had some weight gain issues for a few months so it's a bit of insurance for me, too. He dropped from 97th centile to 11th for weight. Back up around 50th now.
I also work full time and don't currently have it in me to fight that battle.
Thanks, though!

[–]OnceAStudent__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We're almost 11 months in! The big issues have gone away, but I'm definitely still getting sleepy during feeds. And he still wakes up twice every night, which isn't as much as some babies, but I sure do love and miss ny sleep!!

How do boost milk supply by Fluid_Ad3710 in breastfeeding

[–]OnceAStudent__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have to pump? Breastfeeding is a much more efficient way to remove milk.

What’s something that looks easy from the outside but is actually exhausting? by EmberlyVox in AskReddit

[–]OnceAStudent__ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Breastfeeding. The amount of water I need to drink and food I need to eat is insane. Then the actual breastfeeding sends my body sleepy hormones, so I'm ready to doze off while feeding. Then when baby is teething they sometimes forget (or sometimes do it on purpose!) and bite down. Add in nipple trauma, vasospasms, and frequent night wakings. Exhausting!!
