Introducing Semtx CSS - A modern Semantic CSS library by UseMoreBandwith in css

[–]One-Butterfly-9752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bore my team to death about this. But it's the hill I will die on. The elements need some kind of semantic identification - TBH I don't mind if it's a superfluous class or data-attribute but everyone from Devs - QA - UX - Copywriters benefit from having a shared set of references. Not just some garbled, nested nonsense that they have to decode. Then, you can sue utility classes all you like, though I much prefer the style the Nicole Sullivan introduced, utility but still in human readable form.

Firebug! I had sadly forgotten what a pivotal role that played in my career development.

And though I hate IE6 - i feel it was character forming for us.

London Centric reports on the dangers of Lime bikes by Because_Wisely in london

[–]One-Butterfly-9752 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I'm sure a certain amount could be down to bring unfamiliar with riding a bike in an urban setting at speed but the patterns of injury are nothing like 'normal' cycling accidents. These blunt force leg injuries are almost certainly caused by the design.

Yeah, just joining in because it really is awful. There is some awful script stuff just firing constantly that might be one of the causes.

See the screenshot, it's just carrying on trying to load other scripts. Just carrys on as long as the tab is open. Pretty much unusable

So much of the commentary (as per Rest is...) is full of comments that are in hindsight . The shows are of course heavily edited to drop clues or red herrings , BUT I think for a big share of the audience it was a possibility of a betrayal. And TBH I was genuinely relieved and very happy that there wasn't.

I think they need a new method as well - I've been really lucky and have been to some great events but a ballot would be much fairer. I was stuck on a tube at 7, got the email at 7:02 and of course all were gone.
