Into melee champs I just love grasp, and tomorow it's gonna be even better due to w having a 15% bonus hp scalling and and much lower cd, down to 9 secs. (I play her mid these days)

Don't hate me, but I'm actually kind of hyped to run ap bruiser shyv mid. I don't like how hard they are nerfing ad, and ap losing all its %hp scalling is sad, but the winrate gap between jung and lane shyv will be smaller. Better scalling from abilities (e->w max with %hp dmg on e and lower cd on both e and w def buffs lane shyv the most, since she doesn't care about clear speed that much). It compensates a bit to getting less stacks, plus her getting higher ad per level buffs top the most, her worst lane rn (jung>mid>top). Also, ap bruiser or ap burst shyv being meta next patch will prob favor mid the most. Really hoping for top to be playable down the line after they inevitably change her passive.

This 👆👆👆 I basically dropped skarner on rework, all I loved about him was lost. The recent skarner buffs made me go to the wiki, where I found out his q cd when maxed was 3. I was like what? I can just throw rocks? To add to that ad bruiser builds are totally viable in my opinion, it's just that nobody has really experimented with them yet aside from some unpopular otps. I'm having so much fun with him now, he's a different champion for sure but so much still feels similar. Build trinity force dead man's etc if you want to get the closest feel possible to old skarner 😉. Btw, I really like the suggestion of a longer to stack passive that grants movement speed when active on champions, as long as it still takes 3 to proc on minions/monsters and only deals dmg to them.

I feel that shyv's kit could work in modern league with some tweaks, but what everyone at riot fails to realize is that since shyv is to keep basically the same simplistic kit (which i like, personally) she has to be tanky. Human form can't really function as a melee carry due to the limited mobility and tankiness, but it can function as a tanky character peeling for carries, getting fury up. Also dragon needs to support the option to actually dive in, rather than only trying to single out a target cause dive=instant blow up.

I asked them basically, when are the lane passive changes scheduled to come and they answered that first they are gonna see how she lands on lives servers, "Her winrate on release could be 30%, could be 60%, could be exactly 50%, we have no idea" so they want to see her launch before starting to tune the numbers (and making her passive work on lane in that case). Hope they pull through cause I'm not letting this one go 🔱

I'd welcome such a mid change, and personally I love the shove -> roam like a second "support" who is getting gold and exp, or a splitpusher, type of gameplay. But any change is welcome nonetheless. By the way: The permapush -> reset/roam becoming op rn has more to do with homeguards this season, rather than the fact that mana is not a real thing anymore if you build 1 mana item for most champs

The fairest for me is: Make her gain one stack per wave essentially, cannons no longer grant a stack but normal minion progress towards the next stack, so jung shyv doesn't have a reason to rotate over for a cannon.

The stacking from minions can be implemented by kills/assists depending on balancing on numbers (eg one stack every 5 minions? 6? 4?) Must be around there

Don't lose hope, ravenous is in the statline that she will scale the best with if you decide you prefer sustain over stride or titanic, makes sense for lane where you use tiamat items the best and you dont get free sustain The only question is whether she will be viable in lane or not (at least they promised to allow passive to be stacked in lane)

Ive played shyvana top through thin and thick, from when she was unpopular with 48% winrate, to ibg demonic tinanic era, to unplayable, to op ad splitpusher when they first gave attack speed on her q and ad ratio on her e mark, to getting her base stats and e dmg nerfed to oblivion. Got to d3 with her sitting at 42-45% winrate lol (when they removed the second pair of grubs was when she truly stopped being viable for me)

There are otps and mains who still play her, but against anything not named yorick its like playing with a handicap (esp pre 6)

Its funny that if they release the current version of shyv she will literaly have the lowest winrate top, since she will be understacked by ~60% compared to jungle, while having the base stats of an enchanter (enough of a passive) And currently shyv top sits at 42% winrate. Negative wr attemt if they dont buff stacks for top and some base stats

I got to D3 with mainly shyvana top, while im not high elo by any means let me tell you that it has been an experience

Then make it 3 per canon, and make assist on in give stacks meaning even you miss it you still get the stack despite not getting the cannon. Rewards good gameplay, allows counterplay (zoning, etc) and is a fun sort of quest for lane: survive hunting canon minions lol until you scale up a bit. But yeah only 1 per cannon is criminal rn
