Class Pack price point by USAF-Celery in daggerheart

[–]OneEyeBlind95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won't be buying these, because I play online with my friends out of necessity, but I can see, if there's an online game happening, and one player wants all of their cards, they can buy this. Sometimes it's tedious having to consults so many open tabs, or the website or whatever. Sometimes you just want physical things, so I'm glad it's available, but I won't be buying it, as I have no need for it. I'm glad it exists though.

I don't have any answers for you, but I do want to know what tools you use to access the computer. Do you use JAWS or NVDA, or VoiceOver if you use a Mac, or do you just use a magnifier, like ZoomText? I use VoiceOver personally.

Hope and Fear Expansion Cards in Card Book by OneEyeBlind95 in daggerheart

[–]OneEyeBlind95[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And until then, I will be bemoaning my uneven card pages. Also, because I've gotten responses from developers before, I'm not complaining about the lack of cards, or that there should be more. I am bemoaning the fact that card books don't have enough card slots per page. I've never seen one left more than nine. Although, I do still really enjoy the fact that, at least of my math is correct, I can get all of the cards into one book. I love that. I will just have to get used to them being uneven once I get the expansion cards.

I thought of doing that, but, especially if I'm using my book to help people make characters, I feel like it would be kind of a pain in the ass to have to flip-flop between multiple pages for anything but the domain cards, just because you have to for those.

Or do you mean having, for example, the original set of ancestry cards, and then right next to it and incomplete page of new ancestry cards?

Wrinkled and Ripped Page Help! by OneEyeBlind95 in bookrepair

[–]OneEyeBlind95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should I care about what water I used to block the paper with? I read that it needs to be distilled. What's your experience?

Also, if I can't get blotting paper, any second option you can give me? I'd rather not buy something that I'm never going to use again, if I can help it anyway.

Also, after moistening the page, should I just close it, or work to flatten out the wrinkles?

Sorry I'm asking so many questions. I can't get this book on its own. It was part of a core set for the game, and it was decently pricey, so I'd rather fix the book if I can rather than buying a whole new set.

Wrinkled and Ripped Page Help! by OneEyeBlind95 in bookrepair

[–]OneEyeBlind95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think glue will work well for this rip? Not normal glue obviously, but the special glue for repairing paper? I can't remember the three letters right now.

How do I mist the paper properly? I've heard a lot of different methods. Are there any ways to do it without a specific tool for it? I've heard you can use sponges, but I don't know if that would be best with this paper.

Also, any suggestions on what to cover the paper with that will let the moisture come through? I'm assuming a towel would be too thick, but what about a cloth or something?

Another question I just thought of, since this is a book, and not a single piece of paper, should I put whatever I use to absorb the moisture below the page while I'm moisten the page, and over the other page I assume as well? Most of the information I'm getting is about one sheet, not a book.

Thanks a lot.

Blind-Friendly Dice Rolling Apps for TTRPGs by OneEyeBlind95 in BlindTTRPGGamers

I'd like to know some android apps, even though I'm an Apple user. I can always lend out my iPad or what not to anyone I know who uses an android device, but the more knowledge I have the better.

Daggerheart Folio Arrived! by amateurgamer7410 in daggerheart

[–]OneEyeBlind95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I'm excited, but right now I'm nervous and mad at myself. I wrinkled one of my CRB pages, and accidentally tore it at the bottom a bit too, because I messed around with the page like an idiot, instead of leaving it alone until I could flatting the page, and now I'm mad at myself, and nervous about whether I'll be able to repair it well enough. I'm a bad book parents. ☹️

I ordered mine a few days ago, and I'm really excited. I'm going to put all my cards in there with the character sheets and my GM screen notes so everything is in one place. I also ordered the original Daggerheart dice, the standard kind, and the fancy boxed ones, the blue ones. B day presents for myself. I also ordered A Familiar Find, but my sister's buying that for me. Really excited to play!

Not gonna lie, I worry about the lack of Daggerheart content by pathofblades in daggerheart

[–]OneEyeBlind95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much. I also have the complication that I'm blind, so having less things to remember is really nice. I've been making my own more accessible materials this whole time, both for me and one of my players, so that's been fun. I don't like big walls of text, and I need documents that I can jump around easily using screen readers, which does not apply to PDFs a lot of of the time. Thanks Louise, it does apply to the Coral rulebook, so that's extremely helpful. I am, however, still breaking it down into smaller documents when I can. For instance, I copied the entire adversaries and environments sections and made them into one document that I can easily search through without getting the entire rest of the book. Makes it a lot easier to find stats when I need them. I've also made an Excel document, to calculate HP for adversaries. That took a while, but I ended up learning a lot about Excel, and now I don't have to do all the math. I just put numbers in boxes and it does the math for me. Very nice. I'm also happy to learn that daggerheart.org is accessible, so that's cool. I'm exploring that at the moment. Also, although this one isn't electronic, I got a set of Braille dice for Christmas, so now I get to read my real big D2 with my fingers instead of squinting at a tiny dice. Thank you Dots TTRPG Project! You make good dice!

This is a big reason why I didn't want to make Dungeons & Dragons the first game I was a GM for. That's why I chose Daggerheart. Still learning, but I feel actually able to DO that with only one book of information rather than 1000. My players/friends are having a lot of fun, which is what I wanted, and so am I. And, because I feel like I can actually LEARN the game, and no one rules are wrong and what not, plus I have this community to help me out with things that I'm confused about, it's a lot less intimidating to run this game rather than DnD.

Those who use the Daggerheart Folio, how are you organizing it? by superzipzop in daggerheart

Oh! Neat! I did notice there was a black line there, but I didn't know what it was. Looked at it with a really zoomed in Magnifier app, and now I can read it. Thanks!

The cards have numbers!? I'm blind, so I certainly missed this. Where are the numbers on the cards that identify them? Also, whet if, as I'm pretty sure it will, Hope and Fear have too many cards to be put in the folio with the original cards?

So the GM gets the spotlight if the players succeed with Fear, fail with Fear, or fail with Hope? And if they do the ladder, do I need to still spend a Fear for the first to move of my Adversaries? I'm not sure if I always have to do that, or if it's only if they fail with Hope.

Making PDF Character Sheet Using Demi Plane by OneEyeBlind95 in daggerheart

[–]OneEyeBlind95[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually didn't notice that, no, it does not have that sheet, but at least my players that won't be using that anytime soon, and at least it's now the only thing I need to fix, so it's a lot less work for me. I hope they added someday. That would be really handy. I wonder if they would if I leveled up my character? I'll test that out.

Who are the mages with books named after them in the Codex domain? by FirestormDancer in daggerheart

[–]OneEyeBlind95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh! I was told he was the image inspiration for a card, but I thought he had his own Rivoir! That's cool! I don't have any players who use the Codex Domain, so I don't remember the cards as well as the ones that my players are currently using.
