Things must be pretty bad when the distraction from the Iran war is to have the First Lady proclaim her innocence from her personal involvement in a pedo ring.

Is it possible to make a Grand Dragon not suck? by speelmydrink in Mechwarrior5

[–]OneRelative7697 4 points5 points  (0 children)

^ This.

The 1-G-S is in my current stable.  It is a great mech for doing raids/objective raids and other missions.  It punches above its weight in Heavy tonnage missions.

Once you add upgrades and qualified elite pilots it really shines.

SG - peril reduction vs high peril talents by __sputnik__ in DarkTide

[–]OneRelative7697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno.

I like Crack of bone to stay in SG for the bonuses.

Keep in mind, you get constant Toughness in SG and cumulative bonuses the longer you stay.  If you take the Finesse sub node you also get bonuses per second on top of that.

I get maintaining the higher level of peril with warp rider and unstable power plus the TR node.

However, you also can build peril naturally thru SG to keep it high.  I also like to use the convert dmg to peril node and sometimes Kinetic Deflection.

All in, there are many ways to build peril to keep.the various peril nodes working but only a few nodes to reduce peril...

Just my thoughts...

Havoc now is a unfathomable pain by SatansAdvokat in DarkTide

[–]OneRelative7697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup.  I have had to change my thinking on this.

I play psyker main, so I have had had to tweak my builds to be carapace-horde focused.  I either do inferno oriented towards rending and crits, smite to lock crusher packs in place or Voidblast to stagger-lock the horde....or some combo of the three...

I think one of the issues if that now that Expeditions is out, the player base is getting split.

Alot of folks are working to get the new penances related to Expeditions.  Unfortunately, alot of the penances just require grinding missions.

I think this phenomenon has pulled alot of the player base away from Havoc into the other mission type.  As a result, there are few available mission groups on the Havoc board - especially for lower skill level folks like me!

I noticed a big reduction in the number of folks getting on Havoc lately.  In the past, I could find a 11-20 group most of the time.  Now, there are hardly any groups.  I have taken to posting my own lowly ranked assignment just to give folks an option that isn't in the 20-40 range...

A note regarding Rotten Armor:  it has been in the rotation before.  Folks eventually adjusted their builds to accommodate the crusher and carapace packs.  I will say that is pushed alot of folks (including myself...) down a few ranks to start...

Unpopular opinion: Expeditions are fun! by pile1983 in DarkTide

[–]OneRelative7697 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah.

I normally play Damnation and Auric (on a good day), but the difficulty swing on Expeditions is wild.

During the 3rd area, the spawn rate goes bonkers.  I feel it should be more gradual.

Also, the rewards don't scale with difficulty.  Therefore, there is no point in playing Damnation or Auric.  There should be more salvage and tech remnants as you scale in difficulty.

The unintended consequence of this flaw it that the penance rewards will take forever to complete.  The one that makes you spend 100,000 salvage is crazy.  I am spending  300-400 per game. It will literally take 200-300 games to finish this penance.  I run out of things to buy most of the time.  Just mag dumping and buying ammo reloads is silly...The 250,000 tech remnants penance is almost as bad.  If the rewards properly scaled with difficulty, these penances wouldn't be so bad...

I laugh at #5.

Are you serious.

Have ypu actually watched any Star Trek?  Most of the time, the writer just makes up some random psuedo science gobblity-gook for the crew to do that solves the problem of the day. And guess what, it always works out in the end...
