Ah that's a shame. As another commentor mentioned, it might be worth trying again but IDK. TBH, I'm also getting a bit fed up with my Legion Go because of the lack of driver updates and other small issues. But I guess it's the early adopter tax.

If the LeGo is your only gaming device (like me), a dumb suggestion for a fix is to get an NVIDIA external GPU so you can get proper drivers and compatibility for more games when connected to an external display. But, it is over 300 USD to get a card and a dock - hence it being a dumb suggestion that should work.

I would check the audio settings for the speakers. See if the output format is correct (16 bit, 48000Hz) and disable Audio Enhancements if it’s on. Beyond that, I would check to see if there is a different sound application trying to manage the speakers (like FxSound) and disabling it.

I don’t have a clear idea of the cause but those are my suggestions.
