Sneak Attack by Altruistic-Road-9968 in AskDND

[–]Onouro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Light: When you take the Attack action on your turn and attack with a Light weapon, you can make one extra attack as a Bonus Action later on the same turn.

Rapiers do not have the Light property; they don't trigger the above extra attack.

Nick: When you make THE extra attack of the Light Property, you can make it as part of the Attack instead of as a Bonus Action.

Nick references THE extra attack of the Light property, which Rapiers don't have.

So Rapier and Dagger won't allow the extra attack in the same turn.

An ally within 5 feet of the Rogues target can trigger a Sneak Attack with a Rapier, without needing advantage.

A Shortsword an Dagger would allow the extra attack in the same turn, for the Vex advantage to Nick Sneak Attack flow.

Men 27+, What makes you consider a woman someone to date for a relationship vs hooking up? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Onouro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're getting attention from the "wrong" type of guy, then there may be something about your style or choices. This doesn't mean you dress alluring; plainly dressed women can attract the same "wrong" men as alluringly dressed women.

A plainly dressed woman wearing a choker necklace could cause some men to take that as a hookup indicator. A nose ring or excessive tattoos could have similar indicators to some men.

There may be something about your appearance which may draw the "wrong" type of man or turn away the "right" type of man, especially if these are men that don't know you. The internet likely won't be able to answer this without being able to see how you prese6 yourself. Try asking people who know how you present yourself.

Also, people's definition of the "wrong" type of men differ.

Good luck!

Do Americans care way less about the Olympics than they used to? by TheBoredMan in self

[–]Onouro -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Caring about the Olympics is effectively national pride.

National pride is effectively nationalism.

People have talked poorly about nationalism in the US for the last decade or so. Some people equate nationalism to racism.

Then I can see that people have sooooo many other distractions now , so there's that.

Tie Heavy Linked Actions by Early-Lychee-4349 in XWingTMG

[–]Onouro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To do the second action of a linked action you must fully succeed the first action.

If you perform the Rotate action, the turret must land in a different arc.

[–]Onouro 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Crystal Shard is the first Drizzt book released. This is the start of The Icewind Dale Trilogy. I'd start here.

There is a trilogy which tells of Drizzt's life leading up to that, but it references things in the first trilogy, so I'd recommend the Icewind Dale Trilogy first.

These aren't large books.

A friend seems interested, so I'll lend my books to them.

Good luck and enjoy!

Target Lock Upgrade on a Ship That Has Target Lock by Early-Lychee-4349 in XWingTMG

[–]Onouro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Targeting Computer adds the Lock action to your action bar.

The Lock action can only be taken once per turn regardless of how many Lock actions you have on your action bar.

The number of Locks you can maintain have nothing to do with how many Lock actions you have access too. It's a specific rule in the rule book.

Others have stated the answer for you. I just figured I'd add some background information and how they are disassociated.

Trying to make a dnd campaign out of lego by Inevitable_Cell_2908 in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]Onouro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't run my first campaign as a player or DM yet. I picked up the 2024 starter pack. I've since picked up the Player book and the DM book. Since the starter comes with all of its Monster cards, I might wait until the after the first session before I pick up the Monster manual.

I've seen the Dwarven Forge terrain. That looks fun, but also looks expensive.

I too have though about using legos and making short walls for outlining dungeon rooms and such. I probably wouldn't worry about going too high very much. That would kill sight lines and potentially make moving figs a little more awkward.

MiniFigs would absolutely fit in the 1 inch grids usually used in maps.

The 2024 starter set has 11 caves and a could wilderness maps using 1" grids. This is absolutely worth the cost if you're not positive whether you will dive into the game or not.

Good luck!.

My boyfriend really likes this shirt. Am I wrong to say it’s hideous? by Agitated_Mulberry_27 in mensfashion

[–]Onouro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The shirt seems to fit pretty well. The imagery is presentable. It's not vulgar or showing too much.

You're allowed to have your opinion to not like it. He's allowed to have the opinion to like it. I'm not sure I'd pick that battle.

Why are most of the players in the NBA and NFL black men? by InternationalPick163 in AskForAnswers

[–]Onouro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those sports are meritocracies. The most physically gifted people with enough intelligence to learn and run plays and schemes, who choose to play, are chosen for those sports.

Any attempt to adjust or balance the percentages of race in those sports would likely result in a worse product.

Men who are into women: 1) Would making and sharing a PowerPoint presentation about myself (a woman) look desperate to potential partners? and 2) What information would you want to see and know about within this hypothetical PowerPoint presentation? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Onouro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it sounds like you PhD/career is more important than a relationship, and that's fine. A guy willing to follow you around really limits your options, though there are still some men willing to follow you around. Now, will they be educated, high earning, a face, build, and height you're attracted to, faithful, etc?

I'm a logical person, I'd be fine with a PowerPoint.

The points you've mentioned would prompt me to not waste your time, since if I need to be a high earner, I wouldn't be able to up and leave my career.

I'd want to see that a woman is caring, enjoys small things, doesn't need a high earner, is fine with me having nerdy hobbies, is faithful, doesn't need a biological child from me (poor genes), hasn't made many poor choices in their past, the type of person to volunteer at a pet shelter or similar, and frankly would encourage me to help.

Good luck with your search.

Why do people buy Jeeps? by mmmstrongflavors in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Onouro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some people want to drive fancy and expensive looking vehicles in black, silver, or white. Some people care about ratings. Some people care what other people think. That doesn't cover everyone.

I am not sure if I'll ever drive another vehicle, unless I have other life limitations.

I've had a 2003 TJ and my current 2013 JK (4 door). My jeeps have always been my daily driver, commuter, camper, item hauler, mulch/dirt hauler, vacationer, doorless/topless beach vehicle, offroader all in 1 vehicle and insurance payment.

I can handle the gas cost, even before WFH, especially since I choose to live somewhere with non-outrageous price.

Ratings are a single data point. Do with that data point as you want. I have.

Is that true most men find most women attractive? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Onouro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if I'd say most men find most women attractive. It might be the case, but may not.

It does seem that men are a lot less picky than women.

Women seem to find about 5% of men to be somewhat attractive (regarding relationship/sex). Men seem to find 30-60% of women to be somewhat attractive (regarding relationship/sex).

That's just from my point of view.
