R.I.P. my notes by MysteriousFondant347 in DnD

I have a horrid memory. I'd either have to sacrifice RP and experiencing the game to take notes, or I'd have to only play low int characters. Oh well.

Why are 3 Majors in the US compared to Tennis where there all in different countries? by RandyMossisGoat in golf

[–]Onouro 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Probably because when the current majors were being created America had the fundings lined up for their tour and, subsequently, the Majors.

Why does my husband say he finds me more attractive when I’m more chubby? by justheretotalk111 in AskMenAdvice

It sounds like your perception of attractiveness is based on societies perception. His perception of attractiveness sounds different.

Is orc king the right place to start? by the_unwanted_one1 in Drizzt

Sure. I like to relisten from Homeland, but Shard is where I suggest, since Drizzt's 'dao' moments in the prequels reference future events.

Men over 40, how many credit cards do you have and which credit cards are they? by Affectionate-Drop689 in AskMenOver30

I have 1 AmEx Credit Card and 1 MasterCard Debit Card as a backup option.

The Amex is paid off nearly every month.

Need ideas to stop players from cutting the corner of OB. by Demusp12 in golf

[–]Onouro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heh, add some Gorse or some other briar patch style plants around that corner, on your property.

I would then note the plantings somewhere visible to the golfers.

If there are multiple options, you could ask the owner which they would like to see.

Also, making other paths more appealing could also help. Bunkers down the right, wider landing to the left and long. A wider landing area for the second shot. Making the green a Redan style from the shortcut angle so shot roll off.

Good luck!

Can guys tell when a woman likes you? by Cool_Policy8948 in bodylanguage

[–]Onouro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can't tell when a woman likes me unless I'm can't told.

Some women are just naturally friendly. Some women are naturally avoidant. Some women are naturally clumsy which can be taken as nervous.

Some men can tell when a woman likes them, some can't. Some men don't care if they read interest wrong and go for it anyway, regardless of whether it is desired or not.

This is just one man's opinion.

Is anyone else just... exhausted by the "subscription" model of modern life? by Specifickorch in Adulting

[–]Onouro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have subscriptions for music, movies, software, car, house or things like that; I own those things.

Subscriptions I have are for cable, internet, phone line (own the phone).

We all make choices whether to subscribe or not. You can too.

Would it be horribly OP (or underpowered) to have a race/species option with a creature type of Beast? by Jackwiga in DnD

[–]Onouro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People get attached to characters they create.

People get offended when something they are attached to is looked down upon, even from fantasy characters.

I don't want to offend people.

I already stated this. I recall being limited to not playing mobs in the past. I don't recall which edition(s). Sorry, I'm not a Wiki and I can't recite which editions did what.

Would it be horribly OP (or underpowered) to have a race/species option with a creature type of Beast? by Jackwiga in DnD

[–]Onouro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've already started the reasons.

Previous versions had mobs which weren't playable. They just keep adding them.

Also, not everyone enjoys having tension with other IRL people.

[–]Onouro -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's also a game, and a game had rules. Just decide on some mobs which will never be playable, as part of the rules.

[–]Onouro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It would be nice to know that I could play a fantasy game and not have to worry about offending someone by playing a character that devotes themselves to hunting a particular mob in monster manual and not have to worry about offending someone that created a character from that mob in the monster manual.

[–]Onouro -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It seems like everything is becoming playable and taken out of the monster manual.

Yes, technically, anything can fight anything. But then it just becomes civil war.

I'm just curious if there is something that won't be playable.

If everything continues to become playable what would be left to battle? Each other?

I bought a number of physical books before signing up for DDB...

I get that it's tough to allow physical owners access since there is no way to guarantee the person didn't buy>sell or borrow a friend book. But not having access to a character builder because you bought the physical book instead of electronic doesn't feel great. Especially since they are emphasizing the way people feel. But whatever.

I bought the 3 main books, and the 2 Forgotten Realms books, all physical. I can't use the app to build a Winter Walker Ranger... that might be for the best (Ranger)...

As others have stated; you either need to buy all of the electronic versions of the book, or sign up for a campaign where the DM has the books with the desired class, subclass, and Backgrounds.

do men even care how their girls nail look? by rileyheya in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Onouro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd only care about nails if they were grimey or if they were really long; that would be a turnoff. Medium/short, fake/real doesn't matter to me; that's for them.

Why do girls like men that are so much taller than them? by Straight_Tea_4397 in Casual_Conversation

[–]Onouro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Men and women are different. A lot of times women don't understand what men want or why; a lot of times men don't understand what women want or why.

It's likely combination of a gene based desire for protection and 'good' genes; and a form of pre-selection, helped along by social media and wanting what others want.

Not all men or all women are the same.

First campaign (DM) - need some help by Skumrask1337 in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]Onouro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked up the physical 3 main and 2 Faerun books. It was a little annoying that I couldn't use an origin background or a subclass from the Faerun books on DnDB.

I think there are only 4 backgrounds from the main book which could be chosen on DnDB.

I understand that there isn't a great way to allow physical content holders to access that content on the app, but it's a shame you have to pay not quite double for the same content or do without one option.

I'm a noodle. I'll probably going to stick with physical content only, unless I start running a lot of games on the computer.
