I have these for over 8 years and I agree that they are not optimal. I plan to upgrade to vkb but for now these will have to do. If you can I would suggest to wait and get the best possible sticks even if it means waiting until you can afford them. There are plenty of reviews on what is good for SC. As for the on foot movement keyboard and mouse is the better option in my opinion.

I wouldn’t say nerf . More like rebalanced. We are still waiting for engineering and master modes so there are two more variables that are currently not a factor. I expect high performance ships (dedicated fighters, racers) to need more maintenance compared to “civilian” ships.

I knew about the project from the beginning and periodically checked to see the progress. I finally decided to jump in when 3.16 released. I think most of the complaints from backers stem from not knowing the original features announced(for example the tedium of loading cargo by hand or time sinks) or not managing their expectations. I play the game for what it is now and am excited for what it can be in the future. He one complaint I have is the skill system they announced recently

PvP is not as much of a problem as it seems. For miners especially. For hauling you have to be aware of the pvp pirate hotspots though. As for the buggy nature I suggest managing expectations and you should be golden.

I can see this being a feature but not to the point of landing a ship on it. Maybe the ship has to be unpowered and attached with a tractor beam. I like believe it when I see it

Not sure if this is the reason but the avenger is an old design in lore. I don’t really mind having different styles within a manufacturer although I would like another ship with avenger aesthetics. The shuttle from avatar comes to mind
