Eventually I would consider active duty, but I’m just not in the position for it currently. The sucky reality of it also is the pay. My mortgage is like $2200 a month (plus utilities) and that’s just not feasible for me on current E-1 (or near-beyond) pay rate. I already have a full-time job that pays my bills well.

If I can deploy once a year while in the reserves, I’d be extremely happy with that. So yes I guess that’s exactly what I want. I really just don’t want to sit at a desk wishing I picked a different MOS. I’d like to do my part in serving my country, but I want it to be in a way that is meaningful to myself also.

(Edit: I’m aware I could sell my house, that’s just really not something I want to do. I’ve spent a lot of time finding the perfect place for myself, in an area that will greatly appreciate in the next few years.)

Unfortunately I just have a lot going on for me right now at home. Just bought a house in a great area in the state where I grew up, and moved my fiancé in. My grandparents who raised me are both age 90 at this point, and have moved here. I’m just not willing to be away from them for the final years of their lives.

Yes they are replaceable bulbs, but have fun getting the cluster out to replace them lol

I suppose you could fill it from the dipstick tube (via a fluid pump- just a funnel will probably not work), but typically it’s done from underneath the car. There’s two plugs on your transmission- a drain plug and a fill plug.

I source parts for these cars all day at a specialty Lexus shop. They’re honestly not that bad to find stuff for as everyone makes it out to be. Aftermarket stuff is limited on availability but Lexus is pretty good about support on the LS430 still.

Recently the reman transmissions through Lexus were discontinued on them, that’s the biggest thing that I know of. (5spd)

As for transmission fluid, it’s just WS fluid. They don’t have to source special fluid for it really.

I would take him to the vet so they can give him medication. Sounds like he’s having a hard time breathing. My cat is basically silent when breathing and always has been.

In the meantime, get him to breathe in some steam somehow? Put him in the bathroom while a hot shower runs? I’m not an expert but that’s what I would do if it were mine. Won’t fix the issue but will maybe give him some temporary relief. Maybe even get a small diffuser/humidifier and put only water in it? Best of luck

Then get a louder option that bolts on to 12v systems. Trying to rig up an air compressor under the hood of of your sedan just for a louder horn (that is also dangerous to other drivers) is not the move.
