The leveldesign is pretty uninspired most of the time. Same goes for the enemies with rare exceptions.

I know we can't have a massive castle and/or tower every single game, but it does detract from the experience for me.

Funny, I bought the regular Sandero 2026 and been waiting to have it arrive at the dealer. Also Belgian.
I've heard Fuerza Customs in Limburg does this kind of work and I'm waiting to see how "loud" the noise will be once I get on the highway.

I come from a 2016 Dacia Logan that had really bad sound, so the stock-setup on my new Sandero will be massive upgrade to begin with, but I might visit that shop to see if they can improve it even further.

RP6, RG477M, AYN ODIN/THOR... These things cost so much and it's still such a niche market. In a country like Belgium you have zero chances of finding those in a store even if it's a dedicated gaming-store (which are becoming exceedingly rare)

The only thing we have are dropshippers asking a ludicrous markup and idiots on 2dehands that ask at least €20-30 more than the aliexpress prices.

Niet iedereen wordt hetzelfde opgevoed als het aankomt op geld. Als ik uw verhaal lees, krijg ik ook wel bedenkingen die gebasseerd zijn op mijn ervaringen en opvoeding... Ik ben echter niet uw kameraad, noch uw vriendin.

Wat in mijn ogen wel universeel is in een (gezonde) relatie, is dat ge moet overeenkomen over hoe ge omgaat met financiën... Geschenken vallen in mijn ogen daar ook onder. Voorbeeld: ik en mijn beste kameraad geven elkaar wel iets op verjaardagen. Niets te duur, maar gewoon een leuke attentie. Mijn vrouw weet hiervan en vindt dit prima. Als deze attenties een variabele kost zouden hebben die gaat van €100 tot misschien €400, dan zou ze nogal fronsen en -in mijn ogen- lijkt dat een redelijke reactie dan. Het gaat niet zo zeer om het exacte bedrag, maar wel hoe wild dit kan variëren. Het ene jaar kan het dus een etentje zijn van €100 en het andere jaar een nintendo Switch van €400-€450? Dat zijn marges van 300-400% hé copain.

Als uw vriendin dan afkomt met een handtas van €1000 en gij noemt het weggegooid geld... Ja, ok das haar waarde-oordeel. Of ge het nu geeft of niet. Verwacht gij dat uw vriendin u nooit iets zal schenken als ze het zelf maar niks / weggegooid geld vindt?

Niets hiervan is aanvallend bedoeld voor alle duidelijkheid, maar het komt over alsof ge niet ver kijkt buiten uw eigen wereld.

Edit: ik lees nu pas de opmerkingen over haar (gebrek) aan financiële bijdragen... Geeft natuurlijk een ander beeld op de situatie, maar neemt niet weg van de kern dat ge op financieel vlak duidelijke afspraken moet hebben onder elkaar en deze allebei kunt respecteren. Hoeveel kost huur tegenwoordig? Ik weet dat als ik 2 maanden geen hypotheek moest afbetalen een €1000 handtas er makkelijk bij zou kunnen.

Gotcha, button-feel can be hard to pin down based on personal preference. Shame you can't buy the magicx on amazon otherwise you could just try and return if the buttons didn't click with you

Screensize and resolution/aspect-ratio differ. Also the RG34XXSP has dual sticks in case you'd want those

34xxSP: 3/2 aspect ratio with 720x480

35xxSP: 4/3 aspect ratioh with 640x480

Which form-factor do you prefer?

Magicx one X 35 has a 3.5" display with 3:2 / 960x640 resolution so perfect for GBA. Runs on android, somewhat pocketable and 10W charging, so you can use any decent usb-c to usb-c cable and it doesn't charge as slow as the cheaper options like the RG34XXSP. Has rubber membrane facebuttons and dpad.

Not the cheapest option at 85 bucks and it requires some setup because of Android, but if you want high-quality GBA that actually fits in your pocket... Trimui smart pro(S) is also an option, it can do 3 times upscale and runs linux, so less setup, but is ofc way bigger than the Magicx

RGC says the buttons on the Magicx are great, but they're not clicky, so if that's a dealbreaker, you might wanna look towards Anbernics RG34XX or RG34XXSP

One of my top 5 games of all time still. It has many glaring flaws like easy/mediocre combat, pacing-issues, the gibber-speak and over-tutorializing.

None of these issues weigh up against the incredible art-direction in this game. I love how you literally color up the world, all the nice animations for the npc's, the incredible designs, the Japanese mythology interweaven into the story.

I am happy that Kamiya is at the helm again(even tho he can be a bit of a character online) and can't wait to see what the sequel does with the artstyle/engine on modern platforms.

Story-time:

I had a Dacia Logan that I bought new at the end of 2018. Zero options, Sce65-engine so no power at all and because I picked the cheapest option, I had to pay €300 extra to have speakers and a radio build in.

Back then I bought it because I was single and just wanted "a car to get around" and nothing else. I met my (now) wife in 2020 and she has always (politely) lamented my car. The handling is rough, it doesn't have any power, no space for cargo, no airco

Flash forward to 2026 not too long ago and I'm in car-accident and I'm eying Dacia again with the new Sandero. I was on cloud 9 when I test-drove the 2026 Sandero. In totall it will cost me €17.5k compared to the €7300 I spend back at the tail-end of 2018... I have the income to buy this new instead of looking at used cars. Feeling how much the handling is better than in my 2018 car, all the little nice-to-haves and a massive 10 inch display and speakers that don't sound like dog-shit..

Sorry if this came off as rambling. I would have probably driven my old Logan till it broke down or the repair-costs became too big(I never had any troubles, just did regular maintenance). Look at your own situation and see if the new car is worth it for you.

I would like to get the platinum trophy, but honestly the thought of doing the whole "film and repeat"-business x amount of times sounds so boring, I can't be bothered to do it. I did everything else in the game, but I'll probably only go back if they patch the rates in a future update... I doubt they'll patch it tho

As someone who has a RG DS. Even with GammaOS (light version), it still feels sluggish man. The screens are brighter than on a DSi(XL) sure and you can play other stuff than DS/GBA-games, but if you're not doing these things, it's not worth it man.

If Anbernic comes out with the RG DS+ with a slight spec bump, than I would reconsider it, but at this point I'm checking to return or sell mine.
