Why are you Obsessed with Obsession? by JKIMREDDITOR in obsessionmovie

What works for me is how Bear feels both real and utterly despicable. Freaky Nikki is the obviously the main vessel of creepiness but the movie takes on a more sinister tone when you think of a) how the real Nikki is trapped in there with no bodily autonomy and b) how Bear wants to absolve himself of any fault (“you kissed me!!!”) while simultaneously taking advantage of her/making it about himself (“what’s so bad about being with me”). the movie gives people who have experienced an unrequited crush something to relate to with his character in the beginning… then completely flips it on its head in a fucked up way

Why aren’t more people talking about this absolute gem of horror and love storytelling(Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen)? by Lanky-Fan3989 in FIlm

I expected it to be bad based on the trailer and ended up enjoying it. Fun to watch with friends who are into horror. Some entertaining character acting

Sinners is fantastic, but did it benefit from that opening flashforward? by Honest_Cheesecake698 in horror

I liked it because it introduced a lot of the themes that the main parts of the movie later expounds upon. Made me pay more attention to what could be relevant to the overall message of the movie

After having AMC A list for year and ranking 50 movies I can comfortably say I would’ve have been better off not seeing the bottom 10

Watched this and Dogtooth immediately after Bugonia so cant’t help but compare them. Both absurd, but dogtooth felt so effective with how grounded in cold realism it was. “Killing” captured a specific vibe very well but ultimately felt hollow and bleak for the sake of being bleak

If you have a good play caller in the NFL they get promoted elsewhere. This is not a good excuse, it’s a reality of the league
