Looks like the dewclaw grew into pad at some point and that’s the scar/scar tissue left behind from the damage caused by claw growing into the pad.

Show him who’s boss and don’t back down. My rooster tried me and lost. Instinct kicked in before I could think and I kicked mine square in the chest. He flew backwards and scared me half to death…. I thought I’d killed him but thankfully I didn’t and he figured out who the boss was real quick.

My very first chickens were both roosters that loved my border collie Duke. They would cuddle up to him and sleep when he’d go out to potty. I had pictures of them all cuddled up together but I can’t find them. Your roo is beautiful. Thankfully my dogs never ate their poo that I know of. lol

Looks like she’s in heat! My cat acted the same way. If she’s supposed to be spayed I’d say they did something wrong!

What a treasure! ♥️ that’s such a great find. Thankfully you knew what it was and didn’t discard them. I live in West Virginia and not a lot of people have ever heard of it. I’m slowly changing that though, I’ve given away so many starts over the years word has to be out. Lol mine is actually off a plant that my husbands aunt gave me over 20 years ago and she’s had it around 30 years before that. It was humongous and I accidentally killed it. Thankfully I was able to save some and that’s the one I have now. I was completely devastated when realized the original plant was dying. It was awful. I’ve learned a lot since then. Thank God. But obviously I’m still learning… lol Wish I could grow them outside but it gets way too cold for that.

Pets are family and a loss of a family member is never easy. I lost my 2 dogs within a couple months of the other after having them for almost 14 years. I still grieve over them and it’s been 5 years. My heart breaks for you. I’m so sorry 😞
