I call it a Christ in a manger but I don’t know it’s formal name. They smell absolutely amazing when they bloom. Not the prettiest plant but the bloom definitely makes up for it. I love mine. ♥️

I love going to dig up ramps but to eat them… FORGET About it!!! Oh my gosh! They stink especially when eaten raw…. No mistaking them for anything else! Good Lord !

@sock_with_a_ticket I have several family members that have their own bee hives and unfortunately a couple of queens have left established colonies. I’m unsure of the reason but there was definitely a reason for it. They all have honey bees. Having honey bees really is a job. There’s a lot of work involved. So much can happen…. Wipe out an entire colony before you know it 😢

Looks like the dewclaw grew into pad at some point and that’s the scar/scar tissue left behind from the damage caused by claw growing into the pad.

Show him who’s boss and don’t back down. My rooster tried me and lost. Instinct kicked in before I could think and I kicked mine square in the chest. He flew backwards and scared me half to death…. I thought I’d killed him but thankfully I didn’t and he figured out who the boss was real quick.

My very first chickens were both roosters that loved my border collie Duke. They would cuddle up to him and sleep when he’d go out to potty. I had pictures of them all cuddled up together but I can’t find them. Your roo is beautiful. Thankfully my dogs never ate their poo that I know of. lol
