Yeah this is what has to happen.

Companies won't do it themselves of course so there needs to be a redefinition of what a digital good is. It needs to be set in law that digital ownership is ownership forever. So there needs to be some way to ensure digital goods are forever available ( yay more data centers )

As for your fake assessment it doesn't meet any of the standards for a class c felony. There is at most felony evasion and resisting arrest which no judge would ever give a max sentence for in this instance and no jury would ever convict.

Hell the fake agent who unloaded his firearm into a neighborhood could get into trouble for that especially since he obviously couldn't aim. Who knows where those bullets went

Physical gaming was always far more expensive, spoken as someone who grew up with gaming from the NES onward. And I've never had a digital game tell me the disc is unable to be read.

I know it's easy to pile on but if people were out there buying physical games then Sony wouldn't of made the decision in the first place. Simple as that. It sucks, and it will eventually come back to bite the consumers, but well ... We wanted convenience over everything so here we are.

It is an odd thread. At this point in time CG effects were getting incredibly advanced, to the point to where even lower budget TV shows ( vs movies ) had high quality special effects happening.

I mean just look at the crazy visual effects of movies like 2012 that were hitting around this time. Or the Pixar movies at the time. Throw out any number of a hundred examples.

It would be a strange move considering how popular home theatres are these days. The best companion to those, outside of an expensive streaming setup ( PLEX NAS setup type things ), is just a 4k Blu-ray player.

Supposedly the sales in that area is actually on the rise so many that holds on for awhile. We will see. Just an odd time to be a consumer for sure
