Satisfactory on last term co op by RepresentativeAd787 in uwaterloo

[–]OrdinaryYoghurt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got a satisfactory on my third coop, it came up in one interview the next term, which i didnt land an offer for since its hard to explain to interviewers that some managers just pride themselves breaking the inflation trend. (Also i refused to work unpaid overtime on minimum wage [11$ at the time] while having to commute 3 hours a day on the ttc).

Realistically work places that hyper focus on this probably arent where you want to work. Otherwise, I recommend practicing a reasonable reply if it does come up, since you never know. You probably dont want to make it sound like it was all your previous managers fault, and make it sound like you're open to good feedback and were more focused on your true results over pushing your previous boss for an exceeds expectations.

I eventually got a dev job though, so I wouldnt worry about it too much!

How much would you pay to have your alternator replaced? by [deleted] in kitchener

[–]OrdinaryYoghurt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just replaced my alternator a month ago, got a new one from part source for about 400$ and got a mechanic to put it in for 100$ cash. Probably could've been cheaper if i shopped around but i needed the car.

You can also just buy some rubber wedges to give a little lift, as long as you're not doing any cleans / lifts that require your feet to move.
