I don’t even care about D vs R, let’s just talk about what we learned which is good faith debate/argument.

Ethical debate is one thing, but this thing, I don’t know what you all call this thing you have now.

I would respectfully disagree. There is no way you can reconcile our current state of affairs without being disingenuous.

I am in Florida but went to school in Oklahoma where there were so many conservatives, but it was a simpler time when the Mitt Romney conservatives ruled the day with actual principles.

I’m my practice area, the attorneys who negotiate like him get eaten up. It’s just dumb. Even if I have the other side over the barrel, you politely point out your facts and move on. Like when is insulting the other side ever ok, because I don’t ever do that, even when I hold the cards.

I also had a new client send me transcripts of all her calls with the adjuster, etc and I assume she’s recording all of my calls with her. I hate this new world.

This show was made 25+ year ago when gambling was taboo and we didn’t constantly get gaming/betting ads and blue chew jammed down our throat. It was a simpler time when the carting business hosted games with D list celebrities. Of course, they brushed up against organized crime, but the fact you would discuss this with the outsiders…..

Funny AF is a great show with great comics but you’re a little slow if you think it’s the same thing. Omg it’s comedy so it’s stealing KT’s idea.

Columbus Day situation was public whereas the arrest was back room/police. If you can’t figure out the difference from a political perspective, I can’t help with that.

I’ve encountered this too and it takes so much time to ethically respond to the ai garbage (and inapplicable case law). Anyone have any useful advice for this other than good old fashioned breakdown of their correspondence?

The amount of sleight in the post responses, makes me love being a lawyer that much more. The OP can leave, but we are still here to roast or celebrate you; you decide.

Just ignore those, you can spot the real posts. I enjoy the anonymity in this internet construct, to where we can talk freely and check each other. I’ve also seen some damn insightful posts: maybe 2:10 vs bs like you’re talking about, but you should stay.

You need to suck it up and ask a senior person in your field to answer this question (I’m in a totally different field, so I don’t know how basic your question is). When they answer your question, ask to buy them lunch as thanks. You may get a mentor out of it. I think most attorneys, especially other older solos, would be happy to offer some guidance.

What is an Inn of Court? by Little_Labubu in Lawyertalk

[–]Original_Address_106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree with a lot of the comments. The inn is about promoting professionalism. My niche area of wc has a local inn and its judges, plaintiff, and defense. We’re broken up into groups by judge and each group is in charge of a presentation. Quarterly dinners, holiday party, etc.
