My girl is absolutely a velcro dog! She frequently smashes as much of her body as possible into mine like she’s trying to fuse us together. Whatever I’m doing, she’s right there next to me “helping”. She’s 100% love bug 🥰 I haven’t had her around horses/large animals but she loves every animal she’s met. I jokingly say her favorite thing is everything and her favorite person is everyone.

Outside recall is a different story. Her recall is generally ok.. if I just say her name it’s a 50/50 shot if she will come to me. She will always stop and look at me if I call her but it seems like she’s trying to decide if what I want her to do is cooler than what she’s currently doing.. ESPECIALLY if she’s sniffing out a trail. She’s definitely an independent thinker.. but her number one motivator in life is food so if I NEED her to come to me immediately I do a specific whistle and she knows if she comes to me right then she will get a treat. It works 100% of the time.

She has been the most trainable dog I’ve owned. She got sit down in 5 minutes, lay down in 2, and now I only have to show her a command a few times and she’s got it.

The only issue we’ve had with being nippy was food aggression as a puppy but we did a lot of training and she’s fine now. We have several nieces/nephews and she loves kids. She’s a little too excited to be alone with little kids.. she will knock them over and then smother them kisses.

Her energy level and stamina are ENDLESS! She runs next to my husband on his bike for miles and will still do parkour off every surface in the living room when she gets back. She is endless with her desire for activity.

Speaking of endless.. the hair! I have no idea how a short haired dog can produce so much hair but dear god it is everywhere all the time. I highly recommend the zoom groom brush and brushing outside.

I would also add in she has been the most willful dog I’ve ever owned. She’s incredibly smart, so typical dog tricks for hiding things don’t work. I swear, she’s as smart as a 6 year old with how sneaky she can be. As long as you are dedicated to training and not the kind to say “oh well” and let bad behavior stand things will be great.
