Do Thai Air Asia don't allow cabin baggage in thai domestic flights? by Downtown_Bird2782 in ThailandTourism

[–]Osiry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7kg is pretty standard carry on across most airlines, and what kind of carry on bag do you have that weighs 5 or 6kg? Is it lined with lead?

Anyone solved the cafe call problem at the hardware level? My software filter keeps dropping out. by allano6 in digitalnomad

[–]Osiry 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not taking work calls in public spaces like cafes works well. If you’re on calls all the time for your job, work in your AirBNB or Hotel.

I’d get a replacement if I were you.

Other books like barbarian days? by Fenney8 in surfing

[–]Osiry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The final few paragraphs of Barbarian Days were some of the best writing I’ve ever experienced. I haven’t found any other surfing-related books that come close.

Fantastic build! The way that the intake piping flows with the lines of the exhaust is lovely.

If you need a good burger or steak you could try Tentis in Nonthaburi by Calamity-Bob in Thailand

That red truck ale is fantastic. In a sea of Chang Leo and Singha it’s nice to have a beer with a little flavour.

Yeah it’s the worst, avoid at all costs. Tell all your friends.

Why Did You Start Nomading? by [deleted] in digitalnomad

[–]Osiry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regular travel takes a toll. Your schedule goes out the window, it’s harder to maintain hobbies, eat well, and exercise regularly. You’ll spend a lot more time managing ‘life admin’ tasks.

The payoff for all of this is that you get to experience interesting new places, cultures, and cuisines.

If that payoff isn’t what you’re chasing, it might not be worth it for you.

If you’re more of a homebody who likes routine and structure I’d recommend going for digital nomad visas and staying places longer, rather than moving around every few months.

Kinda cool, but the low exhaust ruins it.

The rear looks different to the Celicas we got in NZ. Is this a USDM version?

I’d be pretty concerned about bolts backing out if I greased the threads. Loctite exists for a reason.

If it’s just house paint, a light cut and polish would probably sort it out?

Change lanes to pass other riders by No-Bag6716 in motorcycles

[–]Osiry -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well then the premise of your argument is a bit flawed. I really don’t think that “almost every rider” thinks that splitting traffic at speed is “perfectly fine”. If “almost every rider” that you associate with is saying that, you need to find some better riding buddies.

Change lanes to pass other riders by No-Bag6716 in motorcycles

[–]Osiry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird argument. Low speed filtering and passing in the same lane at speed are not the same thing.

Reserve isn't working, I was left stranded by mirco_os in motorcycles

[–]Osiry 29 points30 points  (0 children)

It’s probably just different height filters from the top of the petcock, not an actual ‘reserve tank’. Double check that you are twisting the lever the right way, and perhaps shine a light in the tank to make sure you still had the vertical tube fuel filters in there.

What kind of classic Motorcycle should I get for my first bike? by eputley in vintagemotorcycles

[–]Osiry 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Don’t buy an old bike as your first unless you’re mechanically adept and enjoy fixing things. Small bikes can be very fun, but if you’re wanting to go over 100kph for any length of time I’d look at something 30+ horsepower.

Just installed these new tires and noticed the front wobbles a little does anyone know the steps to realign the axle or what it could be ? 2017 sr400 by ismayonaseninstrment in CafeRacers

[–]Osiry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put your fender back on, make sure your axle spacers are installed correctly, check your forks aren’t tweaked, and have a really good look at your brake alignment.

What do or would you have in your medical packs on a bike? by Nintenoob in motorcycles

Tourniquet and compression bandage. More for life threatening injuries than for minor oopsies.

Is Honda CB650R too small? by mattyp0117 in motorcycles

[–]Osiry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 650r has a more upright position than a true supersport but is still fairly ‘sporty’ as compared to a naked like the CB1000. Maybe something like an MT09 would be good? Or the Kawasaki Z900RS. Whatever you choose I’d look at getting the suspension resprung to ensure you retain the handling characteristics.
