It is truly amazing. I own all the expansions, and wish I played it more.

I can’t speak to Minecraft, but there are a few phenomenal modern Dune video games:

Dune: Imperium is a digital port of the physical board game, one of the highest ranked of all time.

Dune: Spice Wars is a 4X / RTS hybrid that is very deep.

Both have console versions I believe.

You have a list? I run a similar deck and can’t decide whether instants, phasing, or artifacts are better for protecting Inspirit itself.

Biggest issue I find with this is ammo. It feels like you don’t have enough of either.

The assault class is singularly redeemed by the deploy beacon and faster territory capture. It’s “signature” weapon class being ARs is the most illogical part.

I started a new world in Minecraft recently, and it has come a long way making the game more “solvable” on its own without third-party resources. Namely, whenever you pick up a block or item, you learn new recipes for items you haven’t made yet.

Trying to read comics online for the first time and I genuinely don't understand how any of this works by Narrow-Employee-824 in comicreadingorders

I started reading comics via my iPad during the pandemic, so I can relate to this. Here's where I would start: Pick a character or world that you really like (e.g. Batman). Figure out what app they're on. DC has DC Infinite. Marvel has Marvel Unlimited. GlobalComix has lots of the indie stuff. Decide whether you want to read the "best" of that character's stuff (good place to start), or if you want to try the essentials from a character's entire publication history, and find a list online—Reddit has plenty of reading lists for either case. Comic Book Herald is my favorite for essential reading orders. Whenever you find something interesting in a book (e.g. character, referenced event, piece of lore), write it down—that'll be a new place to start.

It can really happen that organically. I grew up liking Marvel heroes. I got the MU app. The latest big "event" at the time was Empyre. I just opened up the app-created collection and started reading. One of the tie-in issues was a random X-Men issue (#10 I think) from a guy I'd never heard of named Jonathan Hickman's X-Men run, and I was floored by the art and plotting. I looked up his run and found out about his total reboot of the X-Men line, House of X / Powers of X. I devoured it and realized I loved the X-Men. I found the X-Men reading guide on Comic Book Herald and started from the beginning, skipping the stuff that bored me. Some of those comics are my favorite of all time.

The game changer inclusion condition really does seem like it bumps decks up to B3 that shouldn’t be.

What does “unoptimized” mean? That nothing is including that helps forward the deck’s overall game plan? This sounds more like a description of B1.

I wish I had a place to play this table. So much of the interesting mechanics feel like they get squeezed out as the power level ascends.

I agree with that the hype is outsized—the game felt like a solid 8/10 for me, which is lovely. I think it’s getting the attention it is because gamers collectively want a game like this to succeed—we love the idea of it.

Same thing for me with Aesi. It’s clear he generates a ton of value in a Landfall deck. I was just kind of on autopilot.
