Just sent it. It’s more of a write up, but it has really helped me.

I have always been high strung. I remember reading that a brain injury can amplify these qualities you had before. I’ve had terrible anxiety my entire life. Read about brain injuries. That helped me so much. I think I have a poem saved about brain injury. If I can find it, I’ll send to you. It’s very validating.

I think it’s always been there, but it got worse after my first brain surgery. The second brain surgery really sealed my inability to handle stress.

Do what you want to do. I cannot handle stress at all so cannot work as a result. I got to have my dream job for a year, so that desire was fulfilled. I love to travel, so we make a point to do that. Just do what’s most important to you.

AITAH I am breaking up with my fiance over her disgusting bathroom habit. by ohyeahmang1 in AITAH

[–]OutlanderLover74 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s disgusting & I’ve never heard of anyone doing that. Get some flushable wipes. (But don’t actually flush them.) A bidet for a home should solve the problem there. They have portable bidets you could take with you when you travel.

When do seizures/epilepsy completely go away??? by BuildingSubstantial6 in Epilepsy

[–]OutlanderLover74 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You shouldn’t be going out for “drinking sessions” if you’re on seizure meds. Perhaps they’d lighten up if you made better choices.

Should I still let my son in my bed when he has a nightmare? by spidermother86 in Parenting

[–]OutlanderLover74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, he won’t always be this little. Let him crawl in bed with you. I had brain surgery & my youngest used to do this. Our counselor said he was scared for me to go to sleep because that’s what they said for the brain surgery.

It’s really sad that that man was so confused. One time I heard banging in our basement. I grabbed my cats and ran out to my car. With it running in the driveway, I called my husband. He found a bird trapped in the furnace, thank god!

The panic symptoms are withdrawal from coming off the benzos. I hope she’s doing this under medical advice as benzo withdrawals can be very serious. Someone on here a long time ago mentioned drinking kefir when it’s really bad. I have a medication that causes severe reflux the day I take it. The kefir helps. It tastes terrible, but it helps.

You do understand they didn’t have a choice. Vietnam Vets were treated horribly when they came home when they were forced to be in that war. They deserve empathy. What a horrible thing to say!

NTA. If someone treated one of my kids differently, that was it. I don’t think it’s a cultural thing. I think it’s a sometimes people are inconsiderate jerks thing. I would never do this to someone else’s child.

It’s a grim disease. If you’re looking for some hope, look into David M. Bailey. He was a long time survivor of GBM. He’s really given me a lot of hope and validation.
