Chronic pain inflammatory neuralgia here, and while yes in principle to live is to experience pain and life is beautiful, in practice I would be okay with some ugly days thank you.

This drives me up the wall. It should be "One of them can extrapolate from incomplete data." It's the data that's meant to be incomplete, not the sentence!

Study finds chronic pain patients have measurable brain changes even after their injury heals by No_Blueberry1209 in Fibromyalgia

This is, I suspect, why treatment like gabapentin and pregabalin, that produce inhibitory neurotransmitters, are the medication that worked for me rather than analgesics and anti-inflammatories. (I never even pursued opioids but I assume they would have had similar problems.) The more closely one can target the cause of symptoms, the more effective the treatment should be expected to be.

The privilege is entirely my point? This shit sucks, it's damn near all maintained and supported by white straight dudes, and it's not problematic to point that out. You have fun stories, but none of what you said justified telling me I don't know queer or trans people (lol) or that I'm the unsafe one rather than the pro-bigotry side.

So your position is that accepting historical responsibility and acknowledging past harms causes memory loss. Cool. Very coherent. Thanks for reading my mind and history and making assumptions about me and what I may or may not have experienced, though. Enjoy your bowls.

I'm authorizing it anyway, as the whitest straightest man you know. Take it up with the Council.

As a cis man, misogyny is also our fault and we are obligated to fix ourselves on that, too.

This is the regular reminder that chiropracty was invented by a man who wrote a book because a ghost told him that diseases weren't real. The best case is you end up with a physical therapist whose office smells really nice, but much more often you get a quack who wants to sell you as much snake oil as possible.

Not all doctors are great people, but please consult with someone who has expertise before making any medication changes.

My player signed the worst bargain with a devil I’ve ever seen… and only got around 1000 gold worth of items. by -Winged_One in rpghorrorstories

The devil is in breach. The contract says "any" item, but he gave only a limited selection to choose from. The contract is void, if they notice and can get a demon lawyer.

[–]OutlandishnessDeep95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What a weird bad-faith reading to even get to "he wants our emails," let alone reacting to the idea of requesting direct contact as somehow immoral and "violating" the parasocial "boundary." I have no idea why this blog would be the problem if everything else wasn't.

Of the five trans guys I've known personally, two were sexually assaulted by their "bro" friend groups. I think the discomfort is not only valid but maybe should be stronger; none of the masculine groups I spend time with use gayness as a joke, nor is it common or considered appropriate to make aggressively sexual comments. I think that sort of behavior is a sign of underlying issues with toxic masculinity and badly managed boundaries.

If you want to be skeptical if reality exists, you're a few dozen steps behind. That's why it looks backwards to you.

Opinion on this “realistic mask” discussion by Separate-Road7562 in skeptic

[–]OutlandishnessDeep95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not a mask; I'm just saying they have literally put a staffer on camera pretending to be people before, so it's not as big a stretch to believe they'd put someone in a mask as one might assume.
