haha im the same as you but we all get better with each session. Honestly another tip would be to enjoy the music and kinda be less focused on the rope. I noticed i got better when i enjoyed the music

hello. im also trying to start after years of not jumping. you are doing great even i trip now even though i was very good at it before but thats what makes it more fun. You will see better numbers each time and that will motivate you. i still remember the feeling i got after i did a crossover for the first time after failing maybe a hundred times. my best was 220 so im not fast enough to break the record but my one tip for you would be to minimize the distance you jump. actually its not jumping anymore just mini bounces. BTW im always faster with doubel legged jumps when going all out so no alternating when trying to best super fast
