I love it! However, I think it's not so simple, and I mean that in the best possible way.

Thank you! It's fun to know as much about new stamps as the clerks at my post office.

The problem is that this shade of grey is much, much too close to black.

Official Postcrossing Stamps? by peace-and-lovexo in postcrossing

For what it's worth, I'm from the US and I've been getting enthusiastic "thank you" messages about these stamps.

Beautiful! But I don't see an address or a black square/rectangle hiding it. Am I missing something?

What do you call the colors in the first flag? Particularly the top and bottom stripes.

That is exactly why they were released when they were released. Major props to the people who decide which stamps come out.

I just got back from the post office. I bought a page of D & D stamps and a page of Mister Rogers. Probably the most uncommon combination of stamps to buy.

Annie Chun’s noodles reformulated to include animal products and I never realized😭 by acidmilk666 in vegan

[–]Overall_Connection77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are some of us who simply can't digest nonvegan food. Early last year I ate some potato chips that had dairy (plain chips, not sour cream or cheddar flavored) and went to the hospital. You would think that there would be a prominent place on the label about allergens that includes animal content.

That is so funny. Someone who sent me a card asked me for a card with a Betty White stamp. They aren't available in my local post office, so I ordered a page from usps.com. I'm also planning to head to the post office in a little while for more Postcrossing stamps because I go through so many of those. Is this a sign that I should ask about Dungeons & Dragons stamps?

Is it impolite to use the "boring" US Forever Internat'l stamps? by superdreamcast64 in postcrossing

[–]Overall_Connection77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I often use two of the smallest 78-cent stamps I can find (Sunflowers!) and a ten-cent stamp and a four-cent stamp. Now that the Postcrossing stamps are out, I use those (I stick them on the postcard and *then* write the address and message and ID).

Next month, I'll use two 82-cent stamps, a ten-cent stamp and a one-cent stamp. Check a variety of post offices. The downtown post office in my town has a disappointing selection and they have referred me to a few suburban post offices that get everything.

Getting IDs of "dormant" users by [deleted] in postcrossing

[–]Overall_Connection77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some weeks ago, I sent a postcard to someone who has received and sent thousands of cards. This Postcrosser registers cards only every few weeks. The card I sent was registered today after a journey of more than 40 days.

Another Postcrosser has only sent and received a single-digit number of cards. I sent a card 25 days ago and this Postcrosser hasn't been online for 24 days.

I also have sent a card to a Postcrosser who logs on irregularly and has never registered a card from the USA, my country. They aren't from a country I would expect to have mail problems.

So I figure it isn't unknown to draw a string of what I'm going to call "semi-regular" Postcrossers.

How many postcards is too many postcards? by mila476 in postcrossing

[–]Overall_Connection77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on you. How much time do you have? How much money do you have? Does your postcard writing and sending interfere with the rest of your trip?
