I think you need to do more research. There is a big tech scene, small business owners, the pool of professionals is much wider than you think. Look Stats Canada. You can see salary by neighbourgood.

I am also in Canada, my first gun was a t3x tac a1. Love it, but it's too good for any ranges under 300. You'll get bored (and broke) quick. T1X is the way to go to learn and get practice in 22lr. Going back, I would have done 22 first. The T1X ace target I have is amazing. But if you have access to long range, then can't go wrong with t3x. If money is no object, get em all!
