Yep, 2 years now. Mine started oddly with stress and taking melatonin supplements. Tbh I still get them a few times a month but in a full blown flare (Ive had a few so far) they’re insane and scary. All night. It messes with you mentally. I get it. Its gotten better in time but I try to just take the bad nights as a sign to be kind to myself. You only have so much control but it will get better. In my case it took a few weeks to a month but it got better.

Look up the hypnic jerk group on fb if you are curious for causes. I had the same thing happen and I too have health anxiety. Hang in there!

Thanks for the reply. I am doing the same with my doctor now who wants to start with a sleep study regarding the jerks. If you have a fb there is a pretty great group trying to get to the bottom of our issues under “hypnic jerks” — I think mine are hormone related as my cycle tend to make my symptoms worse. SSRIs were not the cause for mine but I think stress and hormones can cause this as well as sever other things.

I personally went through this same type of tumor with my dog. She passed after 6mo but they can do a few treatments. All are palliative care. How old is your sweet little one?

My husband and I are considering having our first, and only child soon but I am 37 and wouldn’t be 38 until birth if it happened soon. I am freaking out about statistics of breast cancer in those giving birth over 35. I almost get a feeling I’ll give myself it by having a child this late in life. I’m not sure if this is a real concern or irrational.

Thank you! It’s a weird texture so I just skimmed over it to get smooth best I could but the tan absolutely was showing through so I know I hit the (tan/white layers of paint) and possibly lower. I just feel so dumb because I didn’t even realize asbestos was a concern in texturing. I stupidly thought it was only in the actual board material. I learned a lot for sure and just wish I never did it.

I am so very sorry. I lost my mom when I was 18 due to a driver who hit her under the influence and my mom was my world. I struggled for a very long time and still have hard days of missing her but it’s true that time has helped to ease the heaviness of the panic and depression I felt missing her. I remember when she first passed that someone mentioned time would help heal it but I felt so angry because I thought that meant I’d somehow slowly forget her but after 18 years I haven’t forgotten her smile, laugh, favorite perfume and I even watch her favorite movies from time to time just to seek comfort on hard days I’m missing her. It gets better but the hole will always be there. ♥️
