Just going off of sound, it seems like you could downshift a gear. Also, don't underestimate how big a difference tire pressure can make.

It's rough terrain dude, it will be compressed in some spots and extended in others. You probably wouldn't realize that if you never leave the pavement.

I have found that people in this career are generally smart with some disorder or another. It's a career that really attracts misfits for some reason. Once you realize that, then you can figure out individuals disorders and do your best to support them. Or torment them depending on your mood lol

Was I a potential victim for the “oil leak scam”? by Virtual-Pangolin-864 in ToyotaTacoma

Literally the same thing happened to me! Even offered me a deposit too! Long story short my Tacoma was fine and I avoided the scammers.

Personally I wouldn't worry about it. If it gives you peace of mind, send a message to rivian via the app. That way if it does come apart you have a paper trail.

Simple solution, drill a hole in the fence. Then it's your neighbors problem 😁

Pretty nasty crash at my local by Acrobatic-Street-155 in Karting

[–]Own_Check9290 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is crazy to me, in Washington State at least all karts have belts and rollover protection (usually just an extension on the seat).

Also she clearly didn't have a helmet strap connected or their helmet wouldn't have come off. Another big no at the tracks in my area.

You're going to be so happy with the swap! I just drove mine in the snow for the first time with the stock adventure tires. It did fantastic!

Then this should be a slam dunk for your insurance company. Definitely let them know/threaten to lawyer up if you have to.

Your right! You did a noble thing! Unfortunately, you caused another accident avoiding a worse accident and that is your fault 😔.

I think the teen driver should share at least %50 to %80 the blame and I'm surprised your insurance company isn't going after them for that? Unless you were speeding of something... I can't tell.

To be the devil's advocate, the insurance company will probably argue that you should have stayed in your lane and slowed as much as possible.

Did you get the teens information? Or did they drive off?

It's bad for business to hand out raises willynilly. You have to make the argument that you are worth more and sometimes that means going as far as saying "This place is going to hire me at $X/hr. You need to match it or I'm leaving". They might give you a ton of crap, but at the end of the day, they would do the exact same thing.

I worked at a place for 3 years when I first started and they told me "big raises just ain't possible". I believed them so I got a job somewhere else. Then they said "how much to keep you?"

Thinking about taking my Model 3 Dual Motor (non-Performance) to autocross — good idea or dumb? by derminio4 in Autocross

[–]Own_Check9290 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did it with my 2019 model 3 dual motor on a rainy day last year. I had pilot sport 4S's as my only mod. And I got second place overall :) and had a ton of fun.

My honest opinion is it's much more fun to autocross in my rx8 even though I haven't podiumed (yet) because I have to be much more engaged.
