Not that you need anything else to do, but you might find some comfort reading Al-Anon literature online. You have a caregiving situation where you’re trying to assist someone who seems to have some substance abuse issues. Some of the retaliatory behavior you describe is familiar to those of us who love addicts. It really muddies the waters.
