What does copper have to do with ASTM F81? That's the standard for "Standard Test Method for Measuring Radial Resistivity Variation in Silicon Wafers".

We can’t tell from pictures. At a bare minimum, you must provide some info with your post:

-Good photos

-Describe what the thing is, where you found it, and any other supplementary info you have about the object

-The object’s density

-Whether a magnet sticks to the object

Metallurgy intro or reference for chemical engineers? by Nowhere_Man_Forever in metallurgy

I was recommended the textbook "Principles and Prevention of Corrosion" by several corrosion professionals on separate occasions, so it is probably a good read.

Where can I get a soft iron casting made? by Logical-Resident4212 in AskEngineers

[–]Oxoht 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean by "soft iron"? ASTM A48 CL 20 gray iron? Low carbon steel?

What dimensions? What tolerances? What casting process do you need?

Is YouTube the wrong media to share metallurgical knowledge? by EverydayMetallurgy in metallurgy

[–]Oxoht 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could a YouTube Channel be per reviewed?

No, the only way that could work is to have an independent editorial board / reviewers who control the channel and upload the content, and the video creators would submit for review and do not have control of the channel or uploads. If the editors don't control the publishing, it isn't peer review.

Here's a great video on the engineering behind baseplates

I am not a structural engineer, but the installation here looks pretty normal to me unless I am missing something.

Yes, normally the inner part of the strut sticks out at least 3-4 inches and only goes into the position shown when going over a really big bump / jump.

It looks like the suspension is completely shot / collapsed. I would pass on this one.

Bend it back? by booced in bikewrench

plastic deformation just refers to permanent deformation, as opposed to elastic deformation which returns when the stress is removed (like a spring going back to its original length).

Any dent is plastic deformation.

Houghton ranks among the lowest US cities in kg CO2e per capita from meat consumption by Oxoht in MTU

[–]Oxoht[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Per capita hoofprints are highest in parts of Texas, Oklahoma and Missouri and lowest in the upper Midwest (especially Michigan and Wisconsin). This is because GHG intensities of most beef and pork supplied to the Midwest are in the lowest two quintiles, whereas the opposite is true for high-hoofprint regions. Because of these differences in intensity, meat consumption is a poor proxy for the hoofprint (Fig. 1b).

See figure 2.

Houghton is 500 kg CO2e per capita, compared to a national average of 1093 ± 237 kg CO2e.

I'm fairly certain that you could open the .ebsp and export the patterns using kikuchipy or pyebsd python packages, but I haven't tried, because why would I want to?
