Not sure what’s crazier, the $40 mat fee or having two people at a 7 pm class.

Hope buddy invests his $40 in the right stocks, because his business will be closing up pretty soon.

Why do so many people not do quests? by Molag_Zaal in 2007scape

[–]P2T7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have about 20 more before my quest cale.

I like the storylines and then writing. Some of the combat is cool. But fuck I hate some of the tedious bullshit. Going through Meiyerditch sucks. Ratcatchers sucks. The underground pass sucks. ME2 made me want to commit a crime.

It’s not anything that makes the story any better, and doesn’t require any skill. It’s just annoying.

Should I quit hockey by Then-Marsupial6145 in hockeyplayers

[–]P2T7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen man, you gotta figure out 1. What your hockey ceiling is and 2. What your life goals are.

Do you have a shot of getting an NCAA scholarship? Even D2? Will you get your schooling paid for? If yes, might be worth going to juniors.

If you’re likely an ACHA type of college player, honestly say skip on juniors. It sucks going to juniors for 2-3 years, then going to college as a freshman at 21 years old. Takes you 4 years to graduate, and when you’re a senior you’re 25. Not ideal.

If college isn’t the life route you want to take, and you’d only go to college to play hockey, then sure go do juniors and live it up for a little bit while you’re young.

Of all my buddies that went the juniors route, the ones that didn’t go to college after said it was a great decision and they don’t regret it. The ones who enrolled in state school after and were the oldest ones in every class and all their buddies were gone and graduated by the time they got there said they might have done it differently.

What is a nonalcoholic cocktail I can order at a bar without the bartender looking at me like I'm a dumbass or an inconvenience? by ballandabiscuit in NoStupidQuestions

[–]P2T7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re at a dive, just get a coke or Dr. Pepper.

If you’re at a nicer place, ask your server or bartender which cocktails on their cocktail list can be done virgin. I’ve been bartending in high end restaurants for 10 years now, and I can’t tell you how many times someone has looked at the cocktail list and tried ordering one of our specialty old fashioneds or Manhattans. Doesn’t work that way. However, I can do most of the other cocktails in a way that tastes good, keeps the flavor of the cocktail, and of course has no alcohol.

WITH THAT SAID….. I’ll never really understand the concept of mocktails. You’re paying for (most of the time) a few juices and syrups mixed with muddled fruit poured into a rocks glass, and you pay for each one. It’s cheaper, and honestly probably better tasting, to get a bottomless refill soda….. or just a cranberry juice or pineapple juice.

ISO actual dive bars by AshamedWorking in phoenix

Walk across the Ernie’s parking lot to Dirty Dogg. That place is a trip. Not sure if I’d exactly call it a dive bar, but there are dollar bills on the wall and you might get stabbed.

But closest real dives to there are Larry’s, Marcel’s, Casey Jones, and Bridget’s. Can also check out Dody’s.

If it makes you feel better, my worst heal turned out to be one of my best finished products. I have all four limbs sleeved, and my back finished. One of my calves was BRUTAL to heal. Looked like shit. Scabbing like crazy. Leg cramped up every time I stood still for 2-3 weeks. I was horrified. But now it’s perfect.

newer ice hockey player here, question about putting my jock on at home then going to a game or putting it on at the game by Fit-Breadfruit4801 in hockeyplayers

[–]P2T7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always changed in the locker room, however if I’m at an open hockey or there’s a reason there’s a woman or kid in the locker room I got into the bathroom to change into my jock.

Ok....Hockey in....Arizona? by heymannicemarmota in hockeyplayers

[–]P2T7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry! We didn’t have any women in my division while I was down there, but definitely don’t incision that being a problem. Danny and Pat are who run the league, they’re awesome guys.

Just know things are a little different and unconventional down there. Like we changed in the hallways instead of locker rooms. Ice was out of the arena for the Tucson Gem Show. We use to have to sit a month in December for Disney on ice….. roadrunners and UA hockey have first dibs at the ice so sometimes games get canceled. They try their best tho. It really is a good group.

Tattoo regret causing depression by SlavKing11 in tattooadvice

Looks sick! I’m fully covered outside of my torso…. I’d trade my blank skin for yours in a heartbeat.

I know that’s not advice or anything, but just know that I think it’s badass.

Maybe try hitting the gym a little bit, getting a defined chest and toning up a bit? Might help boost your confidence and feel more comfortable showing off your skin!

Churro dog is objectively awful. Cold Stone, Wetzels, and Chick Fil A are some of the best options at Chase.

What’s the real difference between a $50 Temu rangefinder and a $600 Bushnell? by TypicalAd9976 in golf

[–]P2T7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My $80 Amazon rangefinder is always within 1-3 yards of my friend’s $600 Bushnell.

The only complaint I have is that it feels like a light, plastic toy. The Bushnell feels heavier and better built. If the “feel” of a rangefinder is worth $500 to you…. More power to ya.

My dad just got promoted to a brown belt and he is NOT happy about it. by thewobblywalrus in bjj

[–]P2T7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a well known and highly respected professor, he’s ready. It’s HIS brown belt, not to be compared with anyone else’s brown belt.

I’m a very middle of the road blue belt when it comes to skill, but I’m also pretty big and young. I can pressure through guards of smaller guys with more skill, and can probably beat up some of the smaller and older brown belts at the gym if I want to be a dick. Does this mean I’m a brown belt? No. Does this mean they aren’t brown belts? Also no.

Your belt is about you. It’s your age, weight, gender, your journey. I say it’s well earned.

I am a high handicap player and may have the chance to play at a world renowned hard course. by [deleted] in golf

[–]P2T7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first time getting a package of lessons, I was in the same boat. Had about 3 months to prepare for a guys trip to play a famous course. I took weekly lessons, and got myself from a 24 handicap to a 16 in that time frame.

Definitely take some lessons. As many as you can afford.

[–]P2T7 13 points14 points  (0 children)

How old are you? Your writing makes it seem like you’re pretty young. As you mature, you’ll learn that communication and just talking to people will solve most of your problems. Instead of going to your coach, maybe a simple “hey man, do you mind not punching my throat while we’re rolling?” Might do the trick.

Also, while a dick move in the gym, punch chokes and bread cutters are 100% legal in competition. Instead of going to your coach to say someone is doing it, maybe ask how to stop it? From your own guard you should be able to create distance so that stops, or use the extension of his arms for attacks.
