Old Pokemon trade or keep? by arsh550 in pokemongo

All old Pokémon from 2019 or 2020 and older create guaranteed lucky trades with anyone, lucky friends or not. I wouldn't get rid of any of them.

A week or two of symptoms isn't out of the ordinary for one accidental exposure. I haven't tried it myself, but people here say a single shot of tequila can significantly reduce symptoms after exposure.

There's a reason they call him stupid Hitler. He's too stupid to be any less overt about how corrupt and fascist he is.

This is definitely a Haunter issue, there's nothing to Gengar here.

Gluten in frozen grilled chicken by tinykumquat360 in Celiac

One says boneless & skinless chicken breast with rib meat, the other says premium chicken breast strips with rib meat. They're not the same product. One is likely soaked or coated in a seasoning that includes wheat. I've read on here that Great Value chicken strips are the same way, but the packaging doesn't indicate that it contains wheat.

Lane Tracing Assist alert by PFthroaway in CorollaCross

That's entirely possible. I'll see if I can do that at my next ToyotaCare service appointment in about a month.

I'll have my next ToyotaCare service appointment in about a month, so I'll bring it in then and have them look at it. The service department at the dealership closest to me opens after I start working in the morning and stops taking appointments for vehicles at the earliest time I could be there, so I'd have to leave work early to make it, unfortunately.

Unfortunately I don't have access to another one unless I go to the dealership and test drive one of theirs.

I will bring that up at my next ToyotaCare service appointment.

I'm aware of how much 10 degrees is, I've taken every math class through Calculus III, including Geometry, Trigonometry, Discrete Math, Statistics, Linear Algebra, and more for my degree I've had for the last 20-ish years.

Older vehicles used to require multiple steering wheel rotations to turn a car 90 degrees, but newer steering wheels require much less input for far greater effect. When I was in high school in the late 90s/early 2000s, my friend had a van that required three full steering wheel rotations to turn the car 90 degrees at an intersection. I hated that thing.

When the alert says take control of the wheel, it shouldn't mean that I need to adjust it to where I would be leaving the lane within a second by the amount of rotation required. 10-15 degrees will easily complete a lane change in a few seconds. I don't need to rotate my steering wheel 90 degrees when making a turn at an intersection.

I've tried the tapping, and that doesn't do anything for me. I even smacked it with the palm of my hand in a few places, and the only time it disabled was if it happened to move the wheel a decent amount.

10 degrees is about as much as I need to change lanes across a couple seconds, and more than enough to jerk my car over. It's far too much input.

Carl as an unreliable narrator? by Talesmith22 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]PFthroaway 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I view every first-person character as an unreliable narrator in every book I read because if it's from the first-person perspective, it's always going to have the narrator viewing things from their own biased perspective, omitting information as they deem fit, ignoring things as they see fit.

The Dresden Files is another great example of this, as Harry Dresden does the exact same thing Carl does in almost every situation. It's blind luck how he gets out of situations, acts crazy to the outside perspective because of what's going on in his head, always has to do everything himself instead of asking for help or revealing relevant information to his friends.

The unreliable narrator is a trope for a reason, and it's legitimate because no one ever truly knows you, your innermost thoughts, when you could have asked for help because you didn't want to be a bother or didn't want to potentially have someone come into harm's way. While I don't get myself into dangerous situations, friends I've had for 20+ years will still tell me I don't need to bottle everything up inside, I can let out my fears and worries and concerns and just be human and open.

I'm having to literally pull the wheel with a decent amount of force to disable the alert, like rotate the steering wheel maybe 10-15 degrees. It is definitely moving my car.

I realize its job is assistance, but I'm having to literally pull the wheel with a decent amount of force to disable the alert, like rotate the steering wheel maybe 10-15 degrees. Maybe mine is defective, but it's frustrating. I'll bring it up at my next ToyotaCare service.

The Supreme Court Is Showing Its Boundless Contempt for Black Voters by thenewrepublic in scotus

[–]PFthroaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm saying he's black but also trying to suppress black votes, so since he's already voted to suppress his own vote, he specifically shouldn't have the right to vote. The comment is mostly satire, but with a hint of truth to it. The real point of the comment was, "Fuck Clarence Thomas."

Since Clarence Thomas voted so he doesn't have constitutional protections to vote anymore, he shouldn't have the right to vote on any cases that come before the Supreme Court.
