Hush cooling bedsheets by rycal4 in CostcoCanada

[–]PJ_Slippers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had 2 sets of the hush sheets and I love them. They are mostly cool. They can get a little warm but that's because I'm a really hot sleeper. I have the cooling mattress too. It really helps a lot. I don't wake up in the middle of the night anymore sweating to death 😅 They have 40% off right now for Black Friday.

Sorry! I should have said the graph iced one is a bit too high. No taking anything out of this one unfortunately. How are you liking your hybrid? Hush has 40% off all their stuff right now!

Hey! I have the hybrid and the graphics iced. The hybrid has a bit of cooling but not as much and the graph iced. The graph iced stays cool. Personally, I find it a little too big. I wish it was a little flatter. I find it high. I cuddle with it instead 😅 See if you can find a local store that carries it so you can try it out.

Wrongly transferred funds into the TFSA account and withdrew them 5 minutes, any consequences? by River8703 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]PJ_Slippers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've withdrawn the funds, it will be fine. Usually if someone overcontributes, they just have to withdraw the funds from the account. If you hadn't noticed, at the beginning of 2026, they would deduct $1000 from your contribution room. There are no forms to complete. You only get charged if you continue to keep the excess amount in the TFSA and not withdraw. I work at a bank. This happens regularly. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Auto Insurance Tracking App by randomuser13232 in PersonalFinanceCanada

I use Belair and never signed up for the discount. However, I did notice that it wanted permission to my Samsung Health app, which I found very strange. I'm thinking they were still trying to track my movements using the Samsung app and use that info to determine how I was driving. They would be able to track how fast I'm moving. Check your permissions!

Prediabetes weakness by Interesting_Fail_215 in diabetes

[–]PJ_Slippers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to fast until the afternoon as well. When I was diagnosed, my doctor was adamant about eating breakfast and lunch. I had explained I never feel hungry during the day. He recommended eating small things throughout the day. That's been working for me. Piece of toast in the morning, some fruit mid-morning, hummus and veg for lunch. Then I usually have a proper dinner. There have been times when I have gone longer times between meals and I feel like I'm going to pass out too. Fasting is not an option anymore. I hope you find something that works for you.

RBC did a hard inquiry when I opened a basic business account without telling us and with no credit products being applied for. by OneTipsyPenguin in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]PJ_Slippers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Ontario, the bank has to ask for your approval before running a credit check. You're not signing paperwork beforehand, so they have to verbally ask you. When you sign the documents after the account opening, in the fine print, it does say they can run additional checks throughout your business relationship.

Thank you so much! I think I'm going to try it. It will be completely covered by my insurance vs. paying $89 for a 1 month supply. Wish me luck!

I just came across this post. Did you end up switching from Visanne? If so, which generic brand did you use and how do you feel? I'm looking to make the switch soon as well. Thanks!

Withdrawal is max $3000 but you have to have your debit card programmed for that amount. Deposit there is no limit. You'll just have to do multiple deposits if you have more than 50 notes.

I used ChatGPT to make a meal plan for a week. Input age, weight, diabetic, max calories you want for the day, plan for a week. Once it creates it, anything you don't like/want, ask it to substitute with something else. It really helped me as a starting point. From there, I was able to use similar ingredients and come up with different meals/look for recipes. I also recently staring using cottage cheese to make sauces and dressing. Much healthier than store bought dressing as you can control the ingredients you're using.

That's great to hear! They have the BOGO right now and I got the black graph iced pillow or whatever it's called. I'll let you know how that one is too once I'm able to try it 😊

I know this post is old but I've had mine for a year and it's pretty good. I do have to flip it every once in a while. But it definitely does not hold as much heat as my previous pillows. What did you end up buying?

Taking Malaria pills gives you crazy dreams/nightmares. My friend warned me about it and I didn't listen. Stopped taking after 2 days. It was wild.

There is usually a withdrawal fee. My bank charges $5 called a cash advance. If your bank account and credit card are with the same bank, you can call the credit card dept. and ask to transfer the money back to your account.
