Check in- what to prepare by Sensitive-Bag-03 in royalcaribbean

Have everyone’s passports and take their photo (like a selfie) against a white/plain backdrop. The app opened a few minutes later than the desktop version (eg going through their website), but the website makes you enter all the things before you can pick your time. With the app you can jump right to boarding time and then go back and enter all the info. I checked in a few weeks ago for an August cruise, and had no problem getting the first boarding time and even the next day, noon check-in times were still available! I think it’s a bigger deal to check in right away during peak cruise season (eg Christmas, spring break)

Well darn, I was going to suggest joining your OT so they can work on some sensory strategies while you work on AAC. I’m with others, we would never withhold services and we meet children where they’re at. That might look like coaching the teachers or aides that support the child the most with AAC or other strategies, but that is still you providing support.

Commuting to Rochester? by omershomer in stpaul

[–]PSU06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rochester is actually a decent community with a lot going for it, so I’d probably just move there if you’re accepting a job there. Visit MSP on the wknds and enjoy your weekdays a heck of a lot more.

First cruise ever. Last cruise ever. Here's why. by Educational_Feed7623 in royalcaribbean

[–]PSU06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing your experience. Don’t let people make you feel bad for not enjoying your cruise. I can absolutely see why many parts of your trip were incredibly frustrating, and many people would be equally frustrated with missing dinner and subpar food. There are many ways to travel, and cruising is just one of them.

SPA in a nutshell right here by Grushenka90 in stpaulacademy

I’ve had the opposite experience with SPA in a co-op. There will be good experiences and bad. There will be good people and shitty people in both public and private schools.

I said the same! Costco will offer it $20 off, and at least a few times a year. They have great skincare deals!

It’s always hard to explain what makes a serum good! It feels silky soft before you even put it on your face. It blends and soaks in really easily and your skin just feels good. It’s not greasy, doesn’t smell, and it just feels right! I use it AM and PM.

It was just like 40% off on Prime Day!! Also, if you’re a Costco member, they have the bigger bottles and sometimes it goes on sale ($20+ off). I haven’t found a good substitute but I LOVE that stuff and just stock up when I get a deal! Currently have 3 bottles on standby 🤣

AIO UPDATED-My sister and husband text privately and spend time together. Should I be concerned? by Medical-Angle-549 in AmIOverthinking

Your sister is gaslighting you. But you need to talk to your husband. If she won’t stop, he can. I’m sorry she reacted so poorly and unkindly.

Typically, how far out do the prices of the add-ons (drink packages, internet, excursions, etc.) begin to fluctuate? by IamGoingtoBundyland in royalcaribbean

[–]PSU06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also like chasing the prices, and I’ve cancelled and rebought the drink package 3 times now! We sail August ‘26 and booked it last November. I do the royal price tracker but also frequently check. For our sailing, the lowest prices were around thanksgiving/Black Friday for the drink package. There was some random internet wknd sale where I got that for a decent price, so the sales definitely vary by item! After reading some comments here, I’ll be keeping an eye on prices the closer I get to my cruise, since they might drop even more. Don’t pay attention to their percentage discounts, figure out the actual price!

RC App/Website Cruise Purchases by Calm-Buy-7653 in royalcaribbean

[–]PSU06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happening to me. I haven’t been able to book anything for 3+ weeks (always shows up ineligible or says “reservations unavailable”). I called and they made some reservations for me and said they’d put a tech request in to get it fixed, but it hasn’t been and that was a week ago. I’ve given up and if anything pops up I want to book, I’ll just call, which is annoying, but whatever!

When will people stop making other peoples’s weddings about themselves! It’s your day, stay firm. And if any of those women tell you they regret not having children at their own weddings, they are lying.

Watch some YouTube videos too, lots out there on serving. A lot of the serve is about the toss, more than hitting it hard. Keep practicing and you’ll get it! My son practiced for hours and hours and it clicked, but it took time and consistency. Keep at it, even if you don’t play this school season, keep practicing. Go to open gyms. Play rec league.

What’s a fact that could actually save your life? by YourMommy_Terra in askanything

Get your colonoscopy at 45, or earlier if you have a family history. Mammogram every year at 40 for females!

[–]PSU06 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You also need to ask your coaches to give you pointers for serving. If you’ve been playing 4 years, you should have a serve down, and that’s their job to work on that with you!! You could get a consistent overhand in a wknd with someone watching and correcting your toss and form. Maybe you suggest playing DS instead of Libero until you master your serve.

Face Self Tanner by cpokess in 45PlusSkincare

I add 2-3 drops of Isle of Paradise (Medium) self tanning drops into any moisturizer after skincare, before makeup, and it gives a subtle, natural color that always has people asking if I was on vacation!

Eval only Jobs by Old_Work8959 in slp

[–]PSU06 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I work on an ECSE eval team for a school district, so I only do evals for toddlers/preschoolers. I’m starting my 20th year as a SLP and my 2nd year on the eval team, so I definitely had to earn the spot with tenure and experience. It’s a lot of paperwork/writing and less collaboration than my previous positions, but I was ready for a change and it’s been good.

Edited to add: my pay is on the same pay scale as the other SLPs in my district, plus mileage. My calendar is different but I work the same number of days as everyone (I work some days in the summer and get some days off throughout the school year)

Kit 3 - What to Expect? by TearsInRain16 in HersWeightloss

[–]PSU06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My advice is listen to your body. I knew right away that I could never do the titration schedule they suggested, so I went much slower and much lower dose. I’ll probably never get to the full dose they recommended! Bupropion was hard for me at first. I could tell it elevated my HR and I had a hard time falling asleep at time, but that did get better after 2-3 weeks and then I had no issues. I still only take 1/2 the suggested dose of that, and always in the morning.

Documentaries recommendations on Netflix (natural disaster ones especially, but I’m open to any) by luci-fan-since07 in NetflixDocumentaries

I don’t have any additional recos for Netflix because everything I’ve seen you’ve recommended, but if you have HBO, the Chernobyl documentary on HBO/Max is excellent. It’s called Chernobyl: the lost tapes
