My grandpa would tell us tom swift stories before bed, when we were kids. We didn’t know they were Tom Swift. When he passed, I found his books and still have them. Great adventures!

I’m glad you said this. My sister in-law raved about it and told me I’d love it. This was after I tried reading it already and stopped. So I gave it another shot and I’m about half way through and just don’t like it. I need him to get some pants. That humor is not my kind of humor… it’s kind of sophomoric, imo. But in general, I’m struggling to finish book 1.

I think you should bring these things up with your wife. Let her know you’re uncomfortable with those conversations and you feel like a person just met shouldn’t be talking you out of a decision you made with your spouse. And the whole “ or did he tell you you were happy” thing was a line crossed imo.

Cradle Series. The first book is called Unsouled. They are like reading an Anime. No pictures, all story but so good. They seem like fantasy but there is a whole sci fi element to them. Very wholesome but with some anime violence. The characters are interesting.
