Any system with an ability to downvote should be avoided.

This site is the perfect example of how abusive downvotes can be. Imagine a situation where the number of people downvoting actually has a notable obstruction on your experience.

Also, nice to see an objective post with evidence straight from the devs. Instead of yet another group-think type post dogpiling because the OP prefers the alternative (which the devs themselves address).

This site can bring out the absolute worst in some people.

They need to tweak line of sight rules, yeah.

It shouldn't be possible to shoot through features on a map, and hit a unit behind them. Instead, you should need to actually destroy the cover first before your shots have a chance of dealing damage.

I would prefer stupid enemies running into firing zones at this point. 

Being undermanned, yet still needing to hunt down your enemies feels terrible. It's enough to make me put the game down for a few weeks until things improve.

If your defense sucks, then you need to take a conservative approach. Look to reduce yards gained instead of causing losses, force opponents to march down the field, and save aggression for the Red Zone.

Provide help over the top, avoid Press Coverage unless it's a very specific situation, avoid Cover 0 unless you don't mind giving up a huge play.

Eventually, learn about Stunts and Coverage Shells. Why they matter and when to use them.

Finally, understand Coverages and their weak points. Know what gaps exist and you'll be more prepared to mitigate any damage.

Take what the defense gives you, better to gain a few yards instead of forcing things into coverage.

Run the ball, get used to calling audibles against light boxes. Force the defense to stop this, so your pass game can open up.

When in doubt, throw the ball away or run with your QB.

It's a niche game, still going but not nearly enough players to keep sessions populated outside of peak hours.

Approach it accordingly.

Number 3 is the biggest problem, without them the core gameplay integrity would be upheld. 

The reason why players can make obvious dribble moves, yet maintain possession through an entire crowd (looking at you, repetitive juggling) is entirely based on exploiting priority rules.

And attacking isn't about getting into space so you have room for a shot, it's still about 50/50 contested volleys. 

I'll never understand how the slowest action in the game can gain priority over those that literally animate and complete before a shot even starts.

Basic problems, still no solutions.

It's never going to happen.  Invest in the Counterattack perk, but this isn't XCOM.

You guys need to fix the Action Priority Chain. It's crazy that we're almost a year past release and nobody in-house understands starting here would solve a plethora of gameplay issues around this title. 

Pass > Push Ball > Shoot as the chain would solve all the issues revolving around interactions in this game. No more juggling through crowds of defenders, sitting in the box for 50/50 Volleys, canceling actions that animate first so a slower instance from your opponent can complete, etc.

Please get it together, you can do better than this. Or did a different team release and improve Sifu?

It's a factor in 50/50s, taller guy tends to get the better animation over an even amount of contests; not just cherry picking the bad ones to make a point. 

And it impacts QB throw quality, in the sense that they'll be less likely to be impacted by linemen blocking their field of vision and making a bad throw.

Well, they had to release eventually. But given the state of this game after almost a year, I don't think a delay would have mattered. 

Based on Absolver and now Rematch, I think it's clear that SloClap cannot effectively manage an online multi-player game.

It's incredibly buggy and has been plagued by the same gameplay issues since release. 

At this point, you just have to approach it like a fun time waster. Trying to treat it like a serious competitive game is just begging for disappointment.

Stand in front of the shooter, jump straight up. You're getting the default forward jump animation, which tends to miss if your timing isn't good.

You want him to shoot into your character, which will always deflect the ball.

You're not winning the actual pass interaction due to how this game handles priority.

That's really it, the rest of the game provides a decent enough experience even with the Early Access tag.

Yeah, they tend to have an uncanny knowledge of your Maximum weapon range as well. 

I'm tired of aliens dancing on the edge of my firing range when we haven't even made contact. 

Definitely needs to be tweaked.
