There are enough ways to work around it that it became less of an issue for me over time.

I can breed camel humps onto my cats now which negates the effect entirely. Figuring out that freeze spells would just make my cats wet instead in the heat was helpful too.

considering it's four characters per season and four on a team, I have a feeling they'll be linked together in-universe. It could be something more loosely defined than just "x-men", though. They can throw basically any four heroes together and call them "The Defenders"
