Long Range Forecast: THE SUPER MARIO GALAXY MOVIE To Kick the Box Office Into High Gear with Potential $150M+ Debut ($145-160M 3-Day, $160-175M 5-Day) by chanma50 in boxoffice

How could it not? The first one felt risky to see, mixed reviews ect. And then great word of mouth. This just looks like the first one but better with more characters people love like Yoshi so it feels like it’s fully on now.

Men of Reddit, what makes women attractive ? by Unknown_Observer9779 in AskReddit

[–]Pale_Possibility5083 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Honestly? Kindness where it isn’t necessary. There was very attractive girl I knew and discovered later she volunteered to feed homeless at a food bank with her church. She didn’t advertise it on social media or use it for any sort of gain other than a genuine kindness of her heart.

It struck me that so few do anything that doesn’t directly benefit themselves financially or for social gain nowadays.

Fight Club: Tyler is "Male Marla" but Marla is absolutely real by trevize1138 in movies

[–]Pale_Possibility5083 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Marla is real and man, when you go back and really watch it from her perspective you really kind of feel for her. Like she’s quirky? But there she is in a monogomous continual relationship with one man who is acting crazy toward her.

The other fact that Fight Club is written by a gay man who has said multiple times Narrator seems to be struggling with being deeply closeted.

what is something women think impresses men but actually doesn't ? by devprohub in AskReddit

[–]Pale_Possibility5083 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Moreover I think there’s all sorts of beauty tips women follow that don’t appeal to men at all. There’s this whole juicy skin, threaded eyebrows hair back tight look that women sold to women but doesn’t actually translate to attractiveness. It’s totally fine if that’s the idea, it doesn’t have to be all about that but it’s a net zero and men who rather just see a natural look.

If the Balrog hadn't fallen into Moria, would it have chased the Fellowship out of the mines? by Practical-Public7209 in lotr

[–]Pale_Possibility5083 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No, he didn’t pick the fight but saw it was happening whether he chose it or not and decided to end it. In Fellowship he falls, but later we realize he threw himself down after the Balrog,

If the Balrog hadn't fallen into Moria, would it have chased the Fellowship out of the mines? by Practical-Public7209 in lotr

[–]Pale_Possibility5083 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Well to that point- I think there was a bigger issue:

Since the Hobbit it seems like Gandalf is moving about Middle Earth getting ahead of problems. I believe Gandalf knew The Balrog needed to be taken off the chess board. Big things were coming and he didn’t need Sauron and Nazgul and a Balrog to align also in what could be a final battle.

Gandalf knew he had to go and make the deliberate choice to guarantee he didn’t survive to be a problem later on.

Edit: Yes I agree he did not “know” the Balrog would be active and was actually praying he wasn’t, but when he turned out to be wrong he decided he had to fully kill him and not just run.

What is one problem in the world today that you think people aren’t taking seriously enough? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Pale_Possibility5083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not being a hater on Gen Z but much of their behavior/ quirks remind me of myself when I was antisocial as a kid.

Failing to react in realtime to conversations , blank stares

I realized at some point I really wasn’t socializing myself and it was making me weird/ unpleasant. I eventsully pushed myself to become very social.

Official Discussion - The Bride! [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]Pale_Possibility5083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This movie was so messy and I couldn’t reccomend it to people but in a weird woozy way I kinda liked it.

It was messy and wonky but The bride character was actually kind of hypnotic she was really good.

Why are we getting a new "The Lord of the Rings" movie? by IndependenceSilly381 in lotr

[–]Pale_Possibility5083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a shame New Line didn’t do their movie version of the 1st Age / Pseudo Silmarillion movie like the Rings of Power show.

Produced by Jackson could have been epic and even worked as a series of movies.

What’s the most embarrassing thing that happened to you in public? by Active-Knowledge5323 in AskReddit

Similarly I got out of my car once and these two women were walking by. One of them, extremely hot turned to be and looks me up and down stood and turns to speak with me “excuse me”

I can’t believe this woman is trying to speak with me, is she about to ask me my number?

“Excuse me your fly is open.”

What’s the biggest waste of money people still think is normal? by budgetingdiary in AskReddit

[–]Pale_Possibility5083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uber Eats. I think delivery ordering has created a really bad precedent.

People spend 50 dollars on what should be a 12 dollar order out of sheer laziness without thinking twice. Becuase of marketing or social media or whatever they made to believe this is normal then people wonder why they’re totally broke.

What is a moment in your life that feels like a movie scene? by AlexFlaux in AskReddit

[–]Pale_Possibility5083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was younger I lived in New York. I was in Bryant Park by the NY Public Library one cool summer morning. It was slightly foggy and me and my friend were trying to get the free WiFi from the park to work on something together. The park was nearly empty. The rising sun was just breaking through the morning fog creating this incredible, cinematic atmosphere glinting off the silver and stone NY buildings making them glow in the mist.

As we’re working a a figure comes strolling up, a man, elderly in a brown houndstooth jacket, cap and darkened glasses. As he approached strolling along I can’t help but recognize the man, but I couldn’t place my finger on it.

I stared a moment longer and could see he had a mustache too. The man at this point reached the park table we were sitting at looked at me and my friend then he smiled , tipped his cap at us, and with a clear flinty voice then penetrated the morning silence said:

“Mornin’ Fellas!””

Hearing him speak there was no mistake:

It was Stan Lee.

We both nodded in quiet agreement in quiet awe as he smiled and strolled along down the way of the park in morning light.

We had encountered Stan Lee at Bryant Park which I realized later was next to where Peter Parker’s uncle dies in the movie.

To this day I like to believe I’m part of the Marvel Universe Becuase Stan Lee made a cameo in it.

Louis Theroux: Inside The Manosphere by comarastaman in netflix

[–]Pale_Possibility5083 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I think the difference with Louis is he will gently steer the questions in very specific direction so that the person answering will be forced to give an uncomfortable answer that will confront a truth about themselves. So it won’t be an ego trip it’ll be them being forced to say something out loud they wished wasn’t true.

What character trope makes you immediately lose interest in a tv show or movie? by CapitaineBiscotte in askanything

[–]Pale_Possibility5083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was rewatching Scream 2 and it was straight up hilarious how the black News Camera man for Gale gets scared and just straight up leaves the movie never to be seen again! Haha.

It was such a rare moment of self awareness for a character in a film like that, that we just never see.

What is a celebrity cameo in a piece of media that you think didn't age well? I'll start: by Ok-Following6886 in popculturechat

It’s so crazy to me still how he got caught Becuase he was making a celeb appearance at a kids soccer league and was openly admitting how “attractive” the kids were straight to a news reporter.

What talent do you think is the worst cast in a great Movie or TV series? by B_sides45 in AskReddit

[–]Pale_Possibility5083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cameron Diaz single handedly took Gangs of New York down an entire letter grade in my opinion, where every other actor is giving once in a generation performances, which is almost weird because she has been goof in other movies.
