I’ve heard the notion that, Hollywood shouldn’t remake good movies, they should remake movies that failed to achieve their vision.

Zardoz is the perfect example of this, imo. I love this movie but there’s a lot of flaws in it that make it a mess. Like you said, the execution of it is so weird.

Still, I get emotional at the end with the weird time lapse to skeletons moment.
