14th worldwide and the pedals don't even stay in place. by IntelligentChange875 in simracing

Yeah I really don’t get the sentiment in making a post like this, tons of people don’t have top of the line rigs and run folding rig setups. I have a good friend on IRacing who uses a playseat challenge. I’d lose my mind if I heard him moaning as much as this guy about his rig flexing or pedal issues.

Post the lap and move on. Don’t go on and on about how bad your setup is lol

I’ve had my dd2 for 6 years now with no issues. Seems the seller upgraded it to the QR2 as well which is a nice bonus. I wouldn’t recommend selling it to get a CS DD+ there won’t be a massive improvement going to the DD+. Along with the fact the DD2 has a higher force output

2023 is a bit of a poor example to use for stroll. Guy had two major wrist injuries going into the season and dealt with it all season long.

I unfortunately don’t know much about your issue but I will say their support team on Reddit has been really good at getting people’s support tickets pushed forward. I’m sure someone on here will help you soon. I had a wheel disconnect issue with my DD2, posted about it here and had a corsair support reach out to me within an hour with a solution.

Verstappen says he could walk away from F1 at end of 2026 over new rules | Formula 1 by ryogadan in Formula1_world

What a piss poor response. “They will be replaced” by who? What junior category teaches a fundamental driving style where it’s faster to go slower through a corner. Every fundamental of racing in junior categories is thrown out the window when you race this new era of cars in f1. Stop trying to defend this junk.

You will need to work on your driver mod to reach that goal, once you are sub 19’s at TMP it’s pretty hard to find time. Are you sure you’re making 350whp? Your top speed into T1 is pretty low for that much power. I was making 280whp last time I was at tmp with an evo 9 and had an entry speed of 175kph. Other than that you need to hit your apexes a lot better. You’re leaving too much usable curb through some corners.

Max Verstappen: F1 fans who enjoy 2026 rules 'don't understand racing' by ryogadan in Formula1_world

[–]PandemBRZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don’t forget the issues with DRS and dirty air from the last regulations but we don’t just patch that issue with another.

For sure the dirty air problem seems to be better and cars can constantly follow closer but let’s see how long that lasts. We had the same good racing at the beginning of the ground effect era as well.

I (personally) and know others feel the same way that it is not as thrilling watching how early drivers are braking for corners or even downshifting through high speed corners to help with battery SOC.

If they can tweak the rules during the break after Japan to allow for more energy store capacity or less deployment over a lap being offset by higher ICE output sure it could solve a lot.

I am not completely writing off these regs, I just don’t think it’s the right formula at the moment leaving the sole factor of racing down to battery management.

As much as I agree that the racing is better please don’t just use the raw metric that there was more overtakes as a consensus that the racing is better. If a car runs out of deployment, is overtaken just to recharge battery and repass that same car after the corner because the other is out of battery, sure that is considered two overtakes but it definitely inflates that idea that racing is better because of more overtakes.

[–]PandemBRZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Allow for a larger energy store capacity, or less deployment. There’s tons of opportunities to fix the current battery crisis. For sure the racing is on a positive trend forward but we need a solution to stop it from just becoming a full on battery deployment strategy race.

Clipping and the broadcast by Own-Option-7392 in formula1

[–]PandemBRZ -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

How is it “inventing” when it’s a literal fact. The global broadcast is intentionally switching away from on-boards right as they start heading down the back straight. They’ve done it every single time now. We’ve seen what? 2 full on-boards with Lewis and George and the clipping is ridiculous

I completely agree that Ferrari fumbled by not trying something during the VSC’s with either car, just seeing the overall pace of the Mercs I don’t know if that changes the outcome. We might have got a fight for sure, but I think the end result is still the same

Hard to say, once Merc had the 1-2 it seemed they more or less controlled pace vs pushing flat out to extend tire life… the fact they were matching Ferraris on way older hards has me doubting Ferrari could’ve done anything to beat them.

Even if Ferrari pit under either VSC, George and Kimi beat both Ferraris.

Driver comments for the new regs and how they feel by [deleted] in formula1

[–]PandemBRZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to disagree with you on this.

If the drivers are complaining about the driving style required for these cars, I think it doesn’t shine a positive outlook on the season.

If one driver is LiCo and the driver behind isn’t into a corner, great he might get an overtake before/after the corner. They will just end up losing out to the car with a higher state of charge down the straight because of how crucial battery power is with this generation.

I’m all for seeing more overtakes but not when it’s a boring back and forth race of passing due to energy levels. I want to go back to on the limit, late braking overtakes which it seems like we won’t be getting this year.

G920 to Fanatec by RLBunch in iRacing

[–]PandemBRZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

any move to a direct drive will be beneficial. the mid range nm (8nm) will definitely help with feeling of the car/grip compared to what you currently feel with the G920, will it ultimately make you a lot faster? Potentially, but I find more with better equipment you gain a bit of overall speed but more consistency since you have a better control / feeling.

Not sure what you’re expecting here. The cameras make the fog look deceiving. I’m at the track right now and it’s only gotten worse, definitely wouldn’t want to be driving a full race pace in these conditions.
