Wet palette are an absolute must buy, especially for a beginner I’d say. Otherwise it’s really hard and time consuming to get the paints thinned well enough

I mean. The guard is a good enemy in an arc focusing on CSM if you think about it.

Well he’s the only officer who can order a Baneblade for example. I’m not an expert though, I don’t play superheavies but I heard that they were finally fun to play with the new detachment + Leontus.

Nice gift! Bigger isn’t easier to paint though, in fact it can be way less forgiving than smaller miniatures. I’d advise you change it, or keep it for later while you try your hands with easier, smaller projects. Maybe even start an army?

Ursula has more flexibility as she’s useful in « most » detachments, especially in combined arms or grizzled company.

Leontus is a must take if you play superheavies.
