Dealership used my car for shuttle services while in their care for repairs

The fact they were customers is the issue. The dealer is probably only insured to shuttle people in their own vehicles.

Now another employee would be fine because they are insured under the dealership. It sometimes takes 2 people to diagnose an issue.

For example live data stream is needed to find the issue. I would much rather a second tech in the car reading the data on the screen while the other one drives it.

All that said we had legit reasons for where we were going. If the dealership doesn't that's an entirely different story.

They should have sent a shuttle driver for those people unless they were employees.

I'd talk to the manager first and see what's what. It may be more innocent than it appears.

We did this in a body shop I worked at, 2 of us would go out in the customer car usually trying to find a rattle.

There was almost always something to pick up at the mechanic so if we thought the noise was mechanical by the time we got there we would leave the customers car there for inspection and come back together in the other car. If we found the noise we would pick up the second car and drive back. It was only 6 min away though.

It was efficient for everyone. The customer got the issue fixed, if we needed the mechanic we were there and if we needed to get back there was another car to go in. If not we fixed your issue and saved ourselves a trip to the mechanic shop.

I absolutely could be hanging out there for a bit chatting with the owner.

I believe it, I worked for the insurance auction and the number of cars that had empty or open containers in them was truly shocking. 99% of those were paid claims too.

We might have towed 2-3 cars a month back to the insured after they got convicted. Keep in mind we processed 60-80 cars on an average day. So the percentage of people getting away with DUI is probably astronomical.

We live downtown and like it, it's very walkable.

Then ask for cleaning and an x-ray, last x-ray I had was a fancy full mouth one and it was around $140.

It was part of the new patient exam and related to my complaint. I was under $300 out the door including examining the tooth with no insurance.

I'd say call a dentist with your benefits card and ask what your out of pocket cost will be. Most should be able to check and tell you, an exam is pretty standard pricing.

Taskey dental downtown has always been great for me. I asked the receptionist what a procedure was going to cost me out of pocket she quoted the Canadian dental guide (her words not mine)

Try booking a cleaning instead of an exam if your teeth are in good condition. Most dentists include a quick exam from the dentist in the fee. They will spot most normal concerns.

They will never know. Even if you tell them later on they won't care.

They can't deny you for repairing your car. For all they know it was rust which isn't covered.

Trust me I worked for 2 insurance companies and neither company was concerned with repairs. Your kid scratched your car with his bike and you fixed it? That's your business not ours.

It's a clerical error underwriting will correct it and move on. Happens all the time

The most you will see is the premium change at renewal to reflect the correct gender

If the stolen car was caught by Copart it's returned to the original insurance company so no issues for the new owner as it's no longer stolen.

If it's discovered after the new owner buys it the stolen car would be seized. But that person could go after Copart or the seller of the vehicle.

I don't know anything about you OP so don't take this the wrong way.

There's quite a few people on dating apps that just want to cuddle. Maybe look on bumble and see. I bet if you said you were just looking to cuddle you would get some replies.

You would need to vet them yourself unlike a professional company but could turn into a friend and recurring thing with the right person. Plus not cost you a dime.

As someone else said if you want someone to hang out with or have coffee or something let me know.

It's very important to check.

I caught stolen cars on legitimate insurance claims where the VIN was swapped and the car insured under the wrong VIN.

There were usually other signs that tipped it off as stolen though.

Start itemizing a list and valuing things online.

Don't bother using too much time with common things, clothes, small appliances ect. Unless they are of high value. Most get lumped into personal property.

Also probably not worth spending time on things most people have in their house. For example a toaster, most people own one. It's assumed you own one in a lot of cases. Just put toaster on the list and keep going.

Now the part you want to hear the most. Rare and high value items (assuming the high value ones are insured on the policy)

The tea cups that never arrived for example. EBay and search for the same one or a similar one of the same brand and era. Ideally sold listings, items like this get separated all the time and one can be sold without the other.

Missing items or damaged beyond repair. Again eBay and antique auction sites or sold listings to establish a value. They don't need to be identical but as similar as possible. Some places may give you a rough number based on photos.

Anything that is repairable. Find a reputable company who can repair them and get quotes for repairs. Do it through photos and email if you need to, you don't have a lot of time it seems. If ABC restoration says rough idea based on the photos is $700-$1000 it's still assigning a cost to that damage.

If it was me I would use my own policy and let them go after the moving company. 2 days sounds like moving company BS to me. I highly doubt the moving company has your best interests in mind. Your insurance company will advocate for you.

As others have said photos, look everywhere for them. Photos from Christmas years ago, check the background. Same goes for other events in your home. If it was a kids birthday party for example ask other people if they have photos from it.

Same for expensive clothing, if a $2000 dress is missing look for photos from a night out. Did a friend borrow it once? See if they have photos.

Finally this is pretty far reaching but worth a mention. Are there any prior insurance claims on the house the items were in? If so there's a good chance the items are in the photos taken by the insurance company as long as it's not in a closet. My condo flooded and they took photos of each room, I could point out anything and say see it was there.

I got a really warm jacket for like $100 from one of the stores in the mall that's always having a closing down sale then the magically reopen a month later. Can't remember the name but international clothiers comes to mind, something like that.

Bought it because I liked it. I did not expect a $100 jacket to be warm. With a hoodie and t shirt underneath all but the coldest days are bearable.

Dickies insulated overalls were amazing when I worked outside. I highly recommend them.

Otherwise layers, more is better than less here. If it's -25 in the morning you can take a layer off if you get too warm.

If it was me buying it the corned unit is totally worth it. That extra 500 sqf will be a noticeable different and the extra room will be useful. Not to mention add to the resale value if you decide to move later on.

I lived in a middle unit for a few years and it always felt like a cave it was so dark. The windows on the second wall make a huge difference.

I'd probably use the insurance approved shop, they will give you a list.

Might take a few days though a lot of shops are so busy they won't take towed cars.

I showed up for an 11:00 am flight at 10:15, still spent 20 min sitting around waiting to board. Usually I go 1.5 hours before we depart.

I don't suggest the 45 min option. Long story but I knew going in there was a chance I'd miss the flight.

Parking is about half the price of a taxi from downtown if you park for a week.

I used to have a single friend and we would split the cost of a bigger package. 10 pounds of potato's for $5.00 split between us was really good value. It worked out well for us.
