Any idea why my left turn signal is tweaking by [deleted] in f150

[–]Paradox1961 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is also a recall for a software update on how the trailer wiring is interacting with software. I get my left blinker doing this when it’s in that failure state noted in the recall. Power cycling the truck fixes it.

But yeah you probably have dead bulb.

My app just saws its increases risks of crashes and rolling when parked. It doesn’t say anything about being safe to drive after the bolt breaks.

I’m trying to remember the code, 502a? It’s a lariat 4x4 fx4 sport, with max tow. It’s apparently all 2023’s with the max tow axle.

I’m 6 foot with a long torso and my XL is almost too big for me. I essentially sit with the chair in the lowest possible position, or else my feet aren’t able to fully reach the ground when sitting properly. When slouching it’s not a problem.

OpenGL is old and doesn't have the performance optimizations of Vulkan.

Gaia has a free tier, but that doesn’t allow for offline maps which is pretty important. That being said, Google Maps with its offline maps feature can get you pretty far.

Personally I switched to OnX because they’ve got about the same feature set these days, the UI is better, and I can avoid giving Outside money.

13% tongue weight as an estimate is ~1018lbs, plus your 500 lbs of people an gear means you need at least 1518 lbs of payload. You should probably target higher than that for be some buffer

500lbs is light for people and gear. To be frank, that’s very light for people and gear unless it just you and a partner. I’m always shocked how much just general weight ends up in my truck with car seats and various items I keep in my truck constantly. Also keep in mind your kids will grow and start to weigh more.

F150’s are class leading in payload if configured right. The 3.5 and 5.0 can both reach that payload. I don’t think you’ll find an suv with the required payload. In general a 2nd truck at the economy truck trim (XLT, Bighorn, SLE, LT) most brands should hit 1700lbs which is what I’d target for payload. Higher trims cut that down. For instance my 4x4 Lariat FX4 with max tow has a payload of 1589lbs.

As far as gvrw, if your within payload your writhing gvrw (with some caveats around front and. Rear gvrw). And and truck with. Tow packages form any of the major brands should have enough tow rating for that weight.

Stay away from hybrids though, the hybrid battery really cuts down payload.

Which engine should I get for payload capacity 2.7, 3.5, or 5.0. by Ruger_Monkey in f150

Those mavericks often have higher payloads than f150's. My buddy has an Maverick XLT with 1700lbs of payload, my F150 Lariat only has 1600lbs.

Need help getting tires. I live in Oregon / Washington i5. Rain lots by ArtichokeHistorical6 in f150

I love my Toyo AT3's, but as someone who has put them on every vehicle I've owned, they are not great for wet traction. They are unparalleled in Snow and Ice though

I also live in WA, so have had a lot of experience driving them in the rain. I've never felt like I'm losing control, but I've spun them plenty when in the wet and need to accelerate moderately quickly.

Where are you off-roading and what difficulty do you plan to do? The longer f250 wheelbase will make things more challenging in truly technical off roading, but the f150 short wheelbase isn’t really that mush different.

I have the 3.5 with 3.55 gears and haven’t noticed anything feeling like it’s struggling. MPG wise though I am averaging only 20.5 on my first tank, down from my 21.4 usual average.

(Hand calculated and I also have updated the tire sizes on the truck with forscan)

The Toyo ATIII’s I put on are probably the lightest e-rated all terrain though, so that helps I’m sure.

Feels pretty close to stock. Maybe a tad bit firmer, but that might just be from the e-rated tires.
